Many thanks, fellow home gardener, to you and the seller for the chance to share my experience with Thaibear Zen Garden Kit. I was hoping the larger photo measurements were correct and they are; the tray is not 10"x 8" as stated in the copy--it's a bit over 12", and the kit has enough area and extras to create a variety of tableaus.The downside is the sand quantity seems to be sized for the smaller specs, so unless you deploy all your nicely fashioned geegaws at once, you'll have some thinner areas. Alternatively, you can make a project of spreading the thinnest even layer, and I guess that's kinda mindful, too?

This is a fun little set with a ton of options. You can do just about whatever your heart desires and there’s a ton of options for rakes. My only con is I’d have liked about 20% more sand, but there is enough to cover if you spread it around the figurines instead of under.
