Yes, this is a great idea for BBQing. I was always using 2 plates or trays and making sure I didn't mix them up and which tongs did I already use and all that. This saves all that guess work while you're grilling and are busy.

I love how this set has two clearly labeled and color-coded sets. Perfect for Raw and Cooked. I also bought a heavier duty apron with pockets, and it really completes this set.

Wow! Yukon Glory impressed me with their BBQ Tray Set! It comes with two stainless steel ridged trays and two stainless steel lightweight tongs. The trays measure in at 11x17x.75 inches, while the tongs are 11.75 inches. The sizing allows the tongs to hang slightly over the edge of the trays.Each tray is ridged and stamped with the Yukon Glory trademark. It's very classy. The trays are very thin, but sturdy. Each tray comes with two tongs clips at the edge of the tray. The clips are riveted in place instead of a spot weld, which allows for heavier duty use and longevity. The clips are lined with silicone and securely keep the tongs in place.The tongs are lightweight, but feel sturdy. There's a strong spring that allows for easy use of opening/closing the tongs. The tongs handles have a silicone grip that is stamped with the Yukon Glory trademark as well. The small details make this set feel very top tier quality.The only issue I have is that these trays due to the tongs clips are a bit awkward to store. Fortunately, I have a fairly deep drawer under my oven and not too many other sheet pans there. However, if you do, you'll need to probably have a dedicated storage space for these. Perhaps making the tongs clips magnetic/removable in an upgraded version will take care of this issue?Overall, this is a very quality set of BBQ tools. I highly recommend it for your BBQ needs!

When I smoke or grill, I never have enough trays for the food. Between cooking multiple items and trying to avoid cross contamination between cooked and uncooked items, it can be a challenge. These trays have definitely helped me out.They are easy to use and keep clean. They include color matched tongs which clip into the tray nicely. Having two different colors helps keep things straight as I cook and handle the food. The trays nest into each other so storage is decent. They are large trays so they still take up shelf space, but less than I expected.Overall, I really like these trays and I expect to use them for many years of grilling and smoking.

I ordered this product to be used when cooking food, most particularly meat, outdoors on the grill, smoker, or hibachi. I think that everyone now knows about the dangers of salmonella and other food-borne illnesses and particularly the problem of cross-contamination between uncooked and cooked foods. This set of two color-coded stainless-steel trays and stainless-steel tongs will go a very long way towards prevent such cross-contamination issues.The two trays are made of deeply stamped stainless-steel and each tray has a set of stainless-steel holders riveted to the tray to place the associated stainless-steel tongs. The holders on the tray and the tongs are each color-coded with silicone inserts to ensure that the tray and tong sets remain together and are not switched resulting in a possible cross-contamination scenario. The inserts are color-coded Gray (for Raw Foods) and Orange (for Cooked Foods) and never are the two to meet.The trays are deeply stamped from “Premium” stainless-steel but the specific alloy used is not specified on the Amazon page. Thankfully, the material used is thin enough that the trays are not excessively heavy as stainless-steel is quite dense. The pattern stamped into the metal provides the needed rigidity for the trays. The two trays may be easily stacked, despite having the tong holders riveted to one end of each tray by simply rotating one tray 180° from the other tray. The trays were actually designed to nest in such a fashion.The tongs are also made of stainless-steel (of unspecified alloy) and are of a quite unique design. They are unusually wide with scalloped edges and would appear to be specifically designed to grab and really hold onto meat and other items while transferring those items from one place to another (tray-to-grill or grill-to-tray). All of the items are said to be dishwasher safe and that is where they should be cleaned after every use. The modern dishwasher, and modern dishwasher detergent, is the bane of food-borne illnesses. Save yourself – put it all in the dishwasher after use.I really like this product. It provides a visible measure of safety to you and your guests at your barbecue events.
