Works but you need a 10 gallon tank or more. I tried to use it with a 5 and nothing. I nearly drained the 10 before it loosened.

Needed this to remove a harmonic balancer on a 2014 Acura TL. Would not have been able to remove it without this super heavy duty socket.

The magic to this tool is the thickness of the sleeve around the bore of the socket. The beefy, sturdy design significantly reduces torque distortion, it allows the torque of the impact to be directly transferred to the crank bolt making a nightmare job a cake walk. It was like just giving a look to a stubborn child that otherwise would not be cooperative and the child just submit without a fight. I watched a few videos on YouTube and saw people fight and breaking tools and honestly I was in fear of having to go through the same struggles. This tools set is a definite must have for any diy or professional tech who does engine or timing jobs on Honda vehicles. You will not regret this purchase. I bought the set to do the timing belt on my 2005 honda odyssey which came from NYC rust belt, and I was able to remove the bolt with in seconds!! This tool came as a recommendation from a fellow professional tech who is a Honda master certified tech. Did I forget to mention that this price is amazing as well as the tool.

When removing the crankshaft bolt with an impact wrench, you want the heaviest impact rated socket you can find. If you use a lighter socket, the forward momentum of the impact wrench is short lived and there's a good chance you'll never get the bolt off. The heavier the socket, the more of the forward momentum of the impact wrench is transferred to the actual bolt. If you're going to use an impact wrench to remove the bolt, you really don't need to use the crankshaft pulley wrench. The pulley wrench is only necessary if you're going to try and remove the crankshaft bolt with hand tools or when you're putting the bolt back on and need to torque it spec.All the people complaining that the heavy socket doesn't fit through the crankshaft pulley wrench are missing the point. To simplify things:1. Use the heavy socket and an impact wrench to remove the crankshaft pulley bolt2. Use the crankshaft pulley wrench and a torque wrench with a regular socket when putting the bolt back on and tighten to spec.

The socket was pretty good quality but the key to hold the harmonic balancer in place was way too big so I had to sand off the finish and a considerable amount of metal to make it fit. Ended up doing the breaker bar and tweak the starter and pray method. It’s probably worth it for the socket alone though so I can’t complain to much I guess. 08 Honda Pilot

They arrived quickly, did the job as designed. Remember, they are not meant to fit together. The heavy socket is to remove the bolt with a heavy duty impact gun, and the other to hold the harmonic balancer from rotating when installing and torquing the bolt.
