These work great and don't mar wood projects, but the magnets are weak and they constantly fall off the vise.

These work, but the caps fall off with the slightest touch. Very annoying.

When you need to hold an item in a vise but don’t what it marked by the vise jaws these prevent maring but hold the item securely in between the vise jaws. The magnets on the back of each one prevents them from falling off when the vise is unloosened.

Purchased these soft jaws for a new vise in my garage. As the price appeared to be high compared to other options, I like the quality of the product received. The magnets were noted as "weak" in multiple reviews. However, compared to my previous soft jaws, these actually hold in place very well. Great product that should last a long time.

They work but the magnets suck! Slightest little bump and they’re falling out of the vise. Way to expensive for this cheap quality.

I am a builder and know good quality. Just bought a YOST bench vise, and these are awesome design. So handy for times when you want to hold say a plumbing fixture, or anything else you do not want to squish or mar the surface. Magnets could be a little stronger, but perfectly fine given you will be clamping anyway. Continuous magnets better than others with spot magnets.

These clamps are great as they stop you marking any materials you may have stuck in your vice. Easily installed to vice in seconds with their magnetic backings. Just make sure you get the right size clamps for the jaws of your vice.

A great addition to a Yost Vice but found that the Magnets are not strong enough to hold the unit in place if you have to slide something between the Vice Jaw. Otherwise the unit functions as intended and does not mar the item to be held in place by the Vice Jaw.

Works great with my Yost vice to hold fragile items or items where I don't want vice marks on them - previously I had always used shop towels for this purpose. They are magnetic and hold on fine and function as expected. You have to be realistic about how you use these - they're meant for fragile items so if you're thinking you can crank down the vice and then wale away on the work piece with a full hammer you're not using the right thing. When used for their designed purpose they are perfect and are a must have.

I got two sets of vise jaw covers: one that has an aluminum face and ones with a rubber face (like the ones in the picture). They are well made and beefy looking. The various V-grooves in the set with the aluminum face are nice for holding small round stock in place. The rubber face on the other set is a nice balance between too soft and too hard. They reason I gave these a 4 star versus 5 start rating is the magnets that hold these to the vise jaw. The magnets are just not strong enough. They will hold in place on their own, but it does not take much of a bump at all to knock the jaw covers off. If Yost used rare earth magnets, it would be well worth the extra few dollars.
