Easy to put together and set up. Kind of glad it doesn't have solar lights, those are just one more thing to go wrong. Yes, the canvas is a little thinner than my heavier umbrellas, but it does make for a slightly lighter umbrella, which can be key for someone older trying to get this through a table hole or into an umbrella stand. The tan color is okay, not my first choice but that was what was available for review, so can't comment on longevity of color. But if you live in a high sun area, it will fade. It will. They all do. The crank and lift function work as well as any other umbrellas I have. This is a lighter canvas, which means, for me, the weak spot will be at the ends of the spines where the stitching has to hold on at the pocket where the spine end inserts. SO, crank this umbrella down at night or whenever it gets windy, if you want to extend the life. (If this umbrella stitching fails too quickly, you can bet I will definitely update this review.)Here's the bottom line on umbrellas: yes, they fade. Yes, when it gets over 15 mph wind and you let your umbrella rock a storm it will cause damage to where the spines come to an end and slot into the canvas. That will be a weak spot on any umbrella and I'll have 100% failure at some point on every single umbrella. These yard umbrellas give about 1-2 years of service if you live somewhere harsh like the southern West in the U.S. THIS UMBRELLA HERE, AT 9 FT, IS A GREAT PRICE. So for that, knowing it will give a couple years at most of service, it's a great value.

I really like this umbrella. The color is very nice and it's made really well. Was easy to assemble and not too heavy but not too light either. Really works well in our table and I am very pleased with this item for the value of this product.

I like the size of the umbrella, 9 feet is the perfect size for our 8 foot picnic table. The crank handle is easy to operate up and down and the umbrella shaft fits in a standard patio umbrella table socket. The umbrella has a built in wind relief at the top to prevent a strong wind taking it away, the spines are very heavy duty and a different shape than other umbrella's I've had in the past as they are square shaped and are in two pieces. The umbrella has a pivot point near the top so it can be moved to block the travel of the sun so there is always shade and the fabric looks durable and strong. What is difficult for me might not be for others without physical limitations like mine, I have RA and a damaged left and right shoulder. The ribs come in two pieces and several were very hard to put together for me, to make it easier a little bit of WD on a paper towel and wiped on the connection ends will make it go much easier. The main shaft on mine was in three pieces that were difficult to put together for me but others might not have any problems at all.

Totally worth it. The canvas isn't a this thick as I would like it, but it isn't terrible. The metal frame and mechanisms are impressive. The Tilt function works perfectly as does the crank. A little difficult to assemble but once it's together easy to use. For the price tag this can't be beat.

The patio umbrella arrives in two parts: a straight metal pole and the top section with the umbrella and crank. These two pieces effortlessly slide together and are securely locked with a push button. The metal ribs that extend the umbrella require two separate pieces to be slid together before opening the umbrella for the first time. The entire assembly process is remarkably quick, taking less than a few minutes. The crank is incredibly convenient for lifting, opening, and closing the umbrella. This is a significant improvement over my old umbrella, which required manual operation. Once the umbrella is open, the angle can be adjusted by simply pushing a button near the top of the pole and pivoting the umbrella to the desired position. There is also a sewn in tie that can be used to tie the umbrella closed when not in use. From a setup and operational standpoint, I couldn’t be happier (a 5-star rating). The umbrella is remarkably lightweight, making it easy to move and adjust. However, I’m concerned about the thinness of the metal, as I hope it can withstand wind gusts. The umbrella fabric is significantly lighter compared to my old one, and I would prefer a heavier fabric. The stitching and workmanship appear to be of good quality. In conclusion, from an ease-of-use perspective, this umbrella is a major upgrade from what I’ve been using. However, I wish the materials were a bit thicker and stronger.

For anyone needing a functional and affordable patio umbrella, the Yaheetech 9FT Outdoor Patio Umbrella is a good choice. I purchased this for my bedroom balcony, a space where I wanted shade without breaking the bank. Knowing it wouldn't be on full display, I opted for a budget-friendly option, and I'm thrilled with the results. The color is exactly as pictured, and while the material is on the thinner side (as expected for the price), it provides ample shade and (hopefully) promised UV protection. It's transformed my balcony into a delightful workspace, allowing me to enjoy the sunshine without getting sunburned while I work from home. The push-button tilt and crank mechanisms are smooth and easy to use. I'm mindful of its budget-friendly nature and plan to bring it indoors when not in use to prolong its lifespan and protect it from harsh weather. This umbrella is perfect for anyone looking for a reliable and functional shade solution without spending a fortune. It's a great value and has made my balcony a much more enjoyable space. I'm using it with a plastic base that's weighted down with canopy weights, and it's working out great.
