Your cart is empty. This is a CMOS 8-bit successive approximation A/D converter that uses a differential potentiometric ladder-similar to the 256R products. This converter is designed to allow operation with the NSC800 and INS8080A derivative control bus with TRI-STATE output latches directly driving the data bus. This A/D appears like memorylocations or I/O ports to the microprocessor and no interfacing logic is needed.

It ain't pretty, but it does the job.

PROS: It works. Its cheap. Reasonable transformer inside.CONS: It's only two pronged and has no switch.I cracked it open and upgraded it to three-prong and added a switch.

Good Value for the money. Checked and this is a true isolation transformer. Great for working on antique tube electronics.

Your average 70 watt tube amp will draw about 150 watts, so take that into consideration. This transformer will work well for the great majority of projects.Notes -Very slight vibration, and I mean barely able to be felt. This isn't really a concern, especially if you mount it.It does draw under 10 watts with no load. It does sit about 80 degrees farenheit, it is a tiny bit warm so I'd design a switch system to turn it on and off vs unplugging it when not in use.Jameco transformers are well respected, so this design by "Xytronic" is pretty solid. Extremely simple to cut costs, it just works and it reflects the design of early isolation transformers used up to the 90s.

I was in need of an isolation transformer for my hobby of restoring old, vacuum, tube radios. This one was small and light in weight for use in my workbench. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

These are mandatory for working on equipment with the lid open. Well made, works perfectly.

This isolation transformer can be a lifesaver as it isolates one from the main outlets. It also is a safety device for electrical equipment being used to test devices. Just what was needed for my vintage radio restoration hobby.I have read many reviews where they say that theirs was damaged upon arrival mine was absolutely perfect. Not a scratch or anything bent.I did test to assure that it was isolated from the mains. So many claim to be isolated but we find that they are not. This one is..These are difficult to find and at the price it was a must have.

Well, mine arrived with nothing more than very slightly bent mounting flanges, easily straightened.Like many, my application is for use with my Variac and dim-bulb, to mitigate hot chassis testing. The good:• It works as advertised.• No low-voltage continuity between input and output-side, nor with chassis. (Someone else can try hipot testing it)• Output side is fused.• Very easy too disassemble if needed. 4 x Philips & 7mm nuts. Everything inside mine seemed fine. Worth checking upon receipt.• Mounting flanges removable. The notable or perhaps questionable:• Attached 2-conductor ~5ft line cord doesn’t inspire confidence. Conductors seem…thin. Very easy to replace if desired.• Features an output socket capable of accepting either US 2-flat or euro 2-round prong plug, despite being rated for only 120VAC/60HZ input/output.• Output socket is 2-prong and will accept polarized plugs. Line cord is unpolarized. Fine.• Output rated at 2.5A, hence its rated ~300W.• Supplied with a 2.5A 5x20mm glass fast-blow fuse.• My Kill-A-Watt reports it draws 7.5W with no load.• If run above 300W, likely the fuse would blow first. or perhaps the line cord. or perhaps the windings.• Input side is not fused; unhappiness results if either winding should fail shorted...• 2-wire line cord, so chassis is floating ungrounded. 50-50 odds of unhappiness if primary side should fail to chassis....• Goes without saying: No UL, ETL or any NRTL certifications. In fact, no “marks” of any kind. Unlikely to pass such if tested, given its construction. So overall, fine for my application above and for use by its intended audience, who understands its limitations and use cautions.Would I leave it permanently plugged in at grandma’s house, even under no load? Probably not.
