had a problem installing kept popping off so I read a comment about beveling edge of cover so i beveled the cover and still kept popping out so I read another comment where this other person thought it was the inside edge of the axle has a burr on it so I got the pencil grinder with a burr bit and just went around the inside edge of the axle BINGO it worked and 2x4ed it on it is solid and tight fit and greased it till spring drew back till I saw grease come out the tiny port hole to let Me know it was enough grease in it

I tried repeatedly to hammer these onto my hubs with a block of wood to cushion the edge and a sledgehammer. I finally ended up doing what other reviewers had done and used my bench grinder to put a bit of a taper on the edge. Once I did that, they hammered into place. They should have been machined to have a slight taper for installation.

These things are heavy duty but I'm not worried about them falling off the wheel when I hit a pot hole.
Worked perfectly

My hub is a tick smaller... It appears to have a 2-step entry, but only by a bit. I have started the chore of grinding a taper into this hub, but it looks like a many trials process.Jim

These work great and they’re nicely machined with good detail and finish. Best of all it’s really easy to grease our trailer bearings. I had no problem installing them… used a drilling hammer lightly to get them started, covered the end of the tube with a piece of 2x4 and hammered away until fully seated. There’s a spring inside it which is compressed when filled with grease; this pushes the grease into the bearing. Very nice product.
