I was hit by a deer and the bike flipped into a ditch. These crash bars completely protected my engine and front end - not a drop of oil leaking. I was so happy they saved it I bought a replacement set. The regulator mounting holes are a bit too small but can easily be fixed to fit OEM hardware with a 1/4" - 20 thread pitch tap.

Great crash bar, but the threaded holes that mount the regulator are powder coated and bolts won't thread in.

I’d have to say it’s a great product def worth it. It’s insane bung king wants $300+ for there crash bar you are literally only paying for the name. This crash bar feels very sturdy and it looks great the welds on mine looked good but they didn’t cover any of the bolt holes when they painted it so you will have to either torch the holes or run the bolts through all the holes to make it easier for you to mount. I would def recommend this crash bar. It fits perfectly on my 2017 dyna street bob like another review said the rectifier bolts won’t work as it’s a different thread pitch I believe other then that it works and looks great

I’ve had many many crash bars. It’s a style I on my bikes I said really expensive ones and once not too expensive this bolted right on the only complaint I’ve got is that the books they sent me for my regulator didn’t fit. I just get some new ones. It’s good.

Install was easy, the only issue I had was the stock rectifier bolts not fitting in the crash bar. I knew this ahead of time due to reviews and planned to buy some new hardware. The size is 6mm X 1.00 thread pitch, about 25MM long. I saw nobody else mention the screw size in the reviews. Fits wonderfully besides that and all the other hardware worked great.

Like others you probably decided to get one of these and figured let’s see what Amazon has. Well, I rolled the dice and I won. What I’m working with: 2008 Dyna FXDCLike others noted, the quality looks and feels great. It’s heavy duty, powder coated. However, as others noted, yes the threads for where you will relocate the voltage regulator were covered. I matched up a close bolt size (M6 - 1.00 x 25) and used a tap to re-thread.This is what worked for me. Just wanted to share as I know I rely on good reviews from others to help me, I want this to help someone else.I went to Lowe’s, picked up a 6mm -1.00 Tap and Drill set ( #5036556) and a 2 pk of bolts in M6 - 100 x 25.I sprayed some WD-40 in the holes and took it slow before test fitting. Once everything was lined up, added Locktite to my bolts and it’s installed.Looks and feels good. Having mid controls and being 6’5”, this will be long overdue for having a way to stretch my legs out on long rides. And who knows, maybe I’ll try some stunts. Lol
