[Note]The crash bar bolts to the front control mounts on any mid control for Sportster model, 2004 and up. There may be some bolts in the location that hold some wire clips which you would first remove before installing the crash bar. Then slip the crash bar in to place and with the supplied hardware, bolt the crash bar to the frame;

Installed the bar on my Sportster 1200 roadster but one of the sliders would not screw on due to a manufacturing error.I returned it and bought another one that was the same exact way.Really wanted it to work.With out the sliders it’s not long enough to protect the bike in my opinion.

I was kind of shocked at how good this bar is. Installation was simple and everything fit as it should. I’ve gone on multiple rides with my feet stretched out on the bar and it’s solid. Definitely worth the money.

These crash bars are the best and do there job. Unfortunately we had an accident and put the crash bars to test. The crash bars definitely protected the engine and rider. Only sustained damaged to the tank and bars. Rider sustained minor injuries. Without the crash bars damage ans injury would have been worse. The crash bars are also easy to install.

Fit well, hand tightened all the bolts to align it up right then used a ratcheting wrench to tighten it down. Highly recommend blue loctite. Came pretty close to my stock exhaust with Python slip ons, but it doesnt touch. Felt comfortable resting my feet on them on the freeway until high winds then went back to the foot controls. I’m 5’10 and theyre a good length to rest my legs on my sportster but I’d say any shorter you might have issues reaching it comfortably without fully locking your legs.
