Good replacement belts. for Worksharp Ken Onion. These were the fine grit but they have the others as well. Do a good job and fir perfectly.

Naturally, I bought these belts as replacements, and so I don't yet know how long they will last. But they appear to be high quality, and with care I expect they will last a long time. Sanding belts (as these are) tend to last longest when a light touch is used. Putting pressure on the belts not only wears the belts out more quickly, but it will also tend to overheat the knife you are trying to sharpen, thus possibly damaging the temper of the steel. Patience is your friend when sharpening knives. 5 stars

En realidad estoy satisfecho con el producto, pero lo veo algo caro en relación con las prestaciones que ofrece. Supongo que se paga la marca y la garantía de que funcionarán como las que venían con el aparato, pero se agradecería un precio más contenido.

Does a great job, wear is acceptable, gets pricey with regular use but saves time over stone sharpening

Takes a little practice, start with cheaper knives. Keep guide clean to avoid scratching your knives.Wear mask and sharpen outside.Sharper than a razor ! Kitchen knives, cleaver, machete, axes, next is my sword. Bought extra SS 3000 grit belts and cheaper various grit combo pack, ready for years.

So I’ve had the standard work sharp sharpener for about 5 years. I’ve been very pleased with the sharpener as it gets a razor sharp edge on the blade. The standard belts required some work to get the edge that sharp. Now my knifes aren’t easy steel to sharpen. I have modern super steel blades with M390, VG-12, 20CV blends. These are very hard steels and take a lot of work to get an edge on them when they finally get dull. The sharpener always got a good edge after a lot of work. Now enter the Ken Onion belt. This thing is freaking amazing. I had a new Benchmade 20CV blade that still had the factory edge on it. Is was time to sharpen so I thought I’d give this belt a try. Typically when sharpening a blade that’s never been on the work sharp before, I have to work from the coarse to the fine belts with a lot of strokes. This cuts the edge at the angle of the sharpener. I put the knife on this belt and within 20 strokes I was shaving hair again. Simply amazing! I’ll not use another belt again. Plus it doesn’t take very much steel off when sharpening so your blade keeps its original form very well.I have the standard work sharp sharpener. These belts are too wide for it, but nothing a little measuring and some scissors couldn’t fix quickly. I would highly recommend this belt if you like your work sharp.
