Finished kits can be made into pillows, wall hangings and more. The 12” x 12” kits feature cotton rug canvas with larger holes and a grid marked on the canvas. This makes it easier for beginners to learn the technique and allows for quicker projects. Latch hook tool not included.

This kit resulted in a beautiful 20"x30" design. I loved the shading and rich colors. There were some labeling issues with the colors (the company appears to reverse "cardinal red" and "crimson," BUT GO BY THE COLORS ON THE PATTERN and not what you think they are), and the mat originally included was the wrong size. However, the company made good. Customers should know that this is an UNSTAMPED kit, so you have to follow the pattern. If your paper pattern is missing, as other shoppers reported, contact Wonderart/Yarnart! You also will need to supply your own latch hook. The yarn is acrylic and therefore vegan; it frays if you have to pick it out and retie it. However, there are helpful online instructions for finishing. I found it useful to sort my yarn into labeled sandwich bags (symbol, count, and color) before beginning. All in all, I'm happy with the product--I just had to contact the company a couple of times about some replacements.

I thought the screen came with the pattern on it. I have ruined most of the yarn because I’ve had to start over twice from the placement being wrong

The thread is really rough. But I like the pattern, it’s easy to follow. And the thread doesn’t fray.

The canvas is blank which I love. I fold the edges and work through both thicknesses. The yarn is not the softest it's a cheap acrylic (think super saver). The colors are mixed in bundles and it doesn't come with a latch hook. It doesn't bother me because I know what to expect. I've done a few kits like this so far. I don't need a latch hook because I found my favorite. The grid is a little small but for me I didn't have any issues. Separating the yarn bundles is time consuming but I find it relaxing. The picture looks just like on the box. I did use a chart keeper to help keep track of the row I was on. This one is big and took me a little over a month to complete. For me this was a fun project. I can see where younger children, some young teens, and people with vision issues may have a problem with the symbols on the paper and reading graphs. There are some YouTube videos that will show you what to do if you've never latched hooked before.

Not separating the different colors of yarn is incredibly inconvenient and can lead to mistakes. There are extremely similar colors and the picture of the patter is misleading and doesn't match the colors of yarn.

Came without a pattern. I guess you get what you pay for because this was sold at a good price. But I did expect the kit to be complete. Silly me! Only buy if you can figure out the pattern from the small picture.
