Product Description

Wii Remote Controller

Amazon.com

To make gaming as accessible to people of all ages and all abilities, Nintendo wanted to create a controller that was as inviting as it was sophisticated- the result is the Wii Remote. Nintendo fused the global familiarity of a remote control with the sophistication of motion-sensing technology to come up with an input device that differentiates the Wii from any other console that has come before it.

Revolutionary control
Sporting the dimensions of a small traditional remote control, the wireless Wii Remote is a multifunctional device that is limited only by the game designer's imagination. The magic of the Wii Remote's design lies within; acellerometers inside the controller body measure movement in all directions and at all speeds. In a tennis game, it serves as your racket as you swing your arm for a long forehand or a quick and hard backhand. In a 4x4 driving game it serves as a steering wheel, allowing you to swerve to avoid obstacles or pickup power-ups. In first-person shooters, the Wii Remote acts as a firearm that you can point directly at an on-screen enemy. The list of potential uses is enormous, and the light weight of the Wii Remote allows gamers to play for hours without feeling fatigued.

The Wii Remote boasts impressive technology for such a compact package.

All Wii Remote buttons are accessible and responsive. .

Control many games from up to 30 feet away. .

The motion sensing technology is neatly tucked away within the Wii Remote body..

The remote feels comfortable in both right and left hands. .

As comfortable as it is functional

The Wii Remote is equally comfortable in right and left hands and houses just the right number of buttons for gaming- not so many that new players will get confused, but enough so that Wii games don't feel constrained. On the face of the remote are the D (or "plus") pad, a large "A" button which is used for major on-screen actions, and two small options buttons. Between the game buttons are a plus and minus buttons (which often act as "forwards" and "back"), as well as a "Home" button to engage the Wii home screen to change settings or check remote battery levels. On the back side of the controller is a trigger-like "B" button, perfect for timing releases of a bowling roll in Wii Sports.

Thankfully, battery life is excellent with the two included AA batteries, just as with the previous generation of Nintendo wireless controllers.

Immersive intelligence

Along the bottom of the Wii Remote, four blue LED lights indicate which player position the remote is currently set to. The controller automatically connects to the Wii console via Bluetooth wireless technology. Below the LEDs, an expansion port lets you connect a number of devices including the Nunchuck and Classic controllers for Virtual Console gaming (Virtual Console games and controller accessories sold separately). Other features of the Wii Remote include adjustable rumble force-feedback and a reinforced wrist strap to ensure safe use. A speaker inside the remote gives the player feedback about the strength of swings or the accuracy of their moves- such as realistic tennis noises as the "racket" connects with the ball in Wii Sports. Overall, the physical design of the remote is extremely sturdy and of very high quality, ensuring countless hours of Wii gaming fun!

The used Wii remote I received works flawlessly! Third party controllers don't compare to better and all the more satisfying feel of the buttons and the overall superior build quality.

Creo que el producto que me mandaron tenía mucho tiempo guardado o ya estaba usado, no sé. El paquete se veía en buenas condiciones pero como si tuviera años encerrado, hasta olía a guardado

Ordered 2 to add to the 2 we already had, both seemed fine when we got it. A little dirty but not cringe worthy. Upon receiving the remotes we put in batteries and tested the sync to the Wii, both synced fine. We didn't really test it or play with it that day, we really should have. About a week later, we played with the remotes and everything seemed fine, when we tried to sync all 4 remotes, the remote orders kept getting out of order. For example, the remote light registered it as the 2nd player but the remote wouldn't work as the 2nd player; in fact the Wii senses it as the 4th player and the remote that is registered as the 4th player (light is in the 4th spot) is acting as the 2nd player. We re-synced a few times and each time it would be different remotes out of sync. Not sure if this was the remotes or the Wii (most likely an issue with the Wii). This was annoying but we lived with it, mid playing we noticed that the A button on one of the 'new' remotes we got doesn't always work. 7/10 pushes would be unresponsive. Due to their return policy, it seemed more work to return it.

This was a pre-owned genuine nintendo controller. I always think it is better to get the genuine controllers for these types of devices, but I was not willing to pay the extortionate price for a new one. I looked in second hand (pawn broker) shops locally, but they either did not have any or the prices they wanted seemed high. This one was at a very reasonable price and arrived quickly. It works perfectly and now means three of us can "Mario Kart" around the track at the same time!

Just received my controller -- it came in a Nintendo marked box, included a skin, and had all the right markings of the original. I have little doubt that this is NOT a knock-off. If it is, well you can't tell the difference. But Heads Up: I did not know the proper sync procedure when I tried to get it to work. I pressed the red button below the batteries and watched it blink to no avail. After some frustration, I looked up the problem and learned there is more to re-syncing a Wii controller, or adding a new one than that. There are TWO sync buttons which must be pressed in sequence. The first is the one in the battery compartment. The second is inside the door of the SD card latch.Press the battery one first, note the Wii beginning to blink -- then press the one in the SD card compartment. That was the trick.Tested the remote and played a couple of bowling games with no difference in control or responsiveness than the original had (which I had managed to kill by messing with a cheap recharger).

About the Wii Remote Controller's - they make great Replacements and/or, Add-on's to increase the number of Wii players. I'm not going to go extensively about the controller's as others here have done a great job already, so I will just listed the HighLights. We happen to have both the Sony PSP3, for the 'serious' Video Gamers, and then we have the Wii Player for the Teen's. The Teen's and some adult's feedback is that they just love playing the various Nintendo Wii Games, and they give High Mark's to the Wii remote controller, with the attached Nunchuck's.* Prices can't be beat as a Replacement &/or Add-on's, (with Free Shipping), compared to our local Wally World or Tar-jay stores.* Lightweight, only 7 ounces!* White color, easy to locate, or you may add the silicone Color Skins to custom code the players.* Bluetooth Wireless technology - works up to 30 feet, but 10 to 15 Feet is the "Sweet Spot".* Wireless technology means there are NO Cords to deal with.* Built-in speaker - gives you feedback about the strength of swings or the accuracy of their moves, as in when you play and win against an opponent!* Caution - Be sure to ALWAYS wear the Wrist Strap, unless you want the controller stuck in the wall, speaker or TV!* Rumble feature and a Good One!* An expansion port for additional input devices, such as the Nunchuk controller* Runs on 2 AA batteries (cost co has the best deal), eZ to replace, and has excellent battery life.* 1 year Hardware warranty* Very Good customer support* Thanks for stopping by!

Nintendo has, once again, completely reinvented the game controller. Like the D-pad, like shoulder buttons, like the analog thumb-stick, they've taken what we *know* to be the right control scheme for console games and thrown it completely out the window in favor of something.... else.By this time, everyone should know what exactly this thing is supposed to do, so I won't reiterate. What I will say is that, quite simply, it delivers on the promises. It works. It does exactly what they said it would.Motion control, rumble, speaker, pointer, everything. Just like before, *this* is the way a console game should be controlled. My only minor gripes:Batteries: I really wish they had seen fit to provide a rechargeable battery option. I can only hope that a 3rd party will solve this problem, and solve it well (bonus points if they *don't* use the extension port of the Wiimote to charge the battery... so you can keep the nunchuck attached while charging)Ergonomics: This is 90% perfect ergonomicaly, but I wish that come controls were a *bit* easier to access during play. I have fairly large hands, and I need to shift my grip to reach the top of te D-pad and the 1 & 2 buttons. I imagine that children or those with smaller hands will have even more trouble.
