Instead of messing with settings on my wired connection, i managed to triple the speed of my internet from the router by switching from a wired connection to this wifi connection. The WiFi connection is about 500mb/s now. It took a few tries to get it to connect, but i think that was a bad usb port. It comes with a mini flash drive that has the software on it, to set it up. Very thoughtful.

I bought this to set up a Dell Desktop that only had a cable connection for the Internet. It's a little tricky and you have to understand how to set the wifi once the driver is installed but it will function. It has all kinds of options that frankly I didn't know what they were for. But here is what you do; Install the enclosed usb driver. Then look at all the options once you connect the main hardware and find where you can input your wifi password and after that it should function correctly.

I have purchased two of these products, for two separate computers, and they both work fantastically. Personally, my speeds have increased by 100+ mbps compared to a previous WiFi adapter I had purchased, as long as the device is plugged into USB 3.0.It is important to know that THIS ADAPTER CREATES A SEPERATE IP than whatever IP is assigned to your computer, since it runs through its own LAN utility (I think). For anyone who has port forwarding set up for things such as dedicated servers, you will have to create new ones for the IP assigned to the WiFi device. Ensure the port forwarding/firewall rules you do set up are for the correct IP address, and you can check which IP is assigned through the LAN utility provided with the USB that comes with the product.The device should show up on your router as your computer name with a number attached to it (Ex: Billy's Computer-12), whereas your actual device would just show up as computer name with no number attached to it (Ex. Billy's Computer)My only issue I have noticed is sometimes the device will not turn on, and I have to unplug/plug in the device to get it to turn on again, sometimes even having to change which port I plug in to. This could be an issue with my computers, however it happens with both devices, and the computers have separate motherboards. (ASUS and MSI).Other than that, the setup was incredibly simple, and the company really seems like they care about their products and their customers. Very Satisfied with the product!

I bought a Techkey USB Wireless-N card many years ago and it's still being used on my wife's PC. I bought this USB Wireless-AC for my daughter's PC and she has used it for almost 3 months without any problem. No internet drops or slows down. It's plug-n-play on Windows 10. It came with a driver and I tried it but I didn't see any advantage. If you use the provided driver, it'll install a small app to control your wireless card. It provides some advanced options but I only care about speed so I uninstalled it. My home internet is 400 Mbs and I got above 350 Mbs consistently from this adapter regardless of using Windows driver or its own driver. I put it on my labtop and walk around my house to test the wifi speed away from my wireless router. I could tell it's signal reception is better than my old Wireless-N card but it's the same as my built-in laptop wireless card. Since it has a long antenna, you can use this adapter on a desktop. At that price, I don't see the reason why we have to buy from a brand name. It's cheap. It works and it's reliable.

This dongle is a very good improvement than the WiFi dongle I was given by the seller of my computer (HP Elite Desk G1). Install was easy and simple and gives you two options; Disk or USB Device. The USB Device that was attached was a bit weird to figure out, as it doesn't have the outer casing USB flash drives usually have but will insert the same as them. The driver install is simple, just read the disk (or access the USB drive in your file explorer), and select the folder that matches your Operating System (It has Windows, Mac, and I think Linux). Once you select said folder, just find the application that installs the drivers and you're done.Internet Speeds are dependent on what internet provider and speed you choose. Because this is WiFi, you can easily expect it to not reach it's peak. For me, with how many devices I use around the house, I easily get what's pictured above (160Mbps Download with about 50Mbps Upload), my peak speed for my provider is 1 Gig, either way I'm happy with what I got.This company is probably one of the golden small companies here on Amazon. It's abundantly clear they care and respect for their customers. Case and point is what I received with the packages; a Thank You Card and some stickers (who doesn't love stickers?!).All around I would totally recommend this product to anyone who uses a computer and can't access Ethernet and can't afford to have Ethernet wired to where their main device is.

The device is a super purchase. I purchased three for front, back, and shop doors. Moving the finger tip and point in different directions while setting the fingerprint portion of the setup is very important. Read and follow the directions carefully in order to get excellent results. Don’t use on a building such as a metal building that has no windows and only one door. Since there is no physical key, in instances of a lock failure, significant door damage will probably be incurred in order to gain access. I would consider ordering a similar device with a physical key. Dead or loose batteries is not a problem since external power can be applied using the USB-C plug on the outside portion of the lock. You may need to order a USB-A Male to USB_C Male cable for this purpose if you do not have the “C” version available. Setup is a breeze. I didn’t try to do a WiFi connection but the Bluetooth connection is super and when within the 30’ range, the locks are identified and their positions are displayed. I highly recommend the lock.

L'antenne wifi USB a tout de suite été trouvé. Le signal était parfait.En plus d'être facile à installer, celle antenne est particulièrement efficace. Je l'ai installée sur un PC de bureau sur lequel j'avais mis une clé Wifi de base. Le changement d'emplacement de ma box m'avait quasiment privé de la connexion Wifi à cet endroit. L'installation de l'antenne a rétabli cette connexion et je ne regrette pas cet achat. Je ne peux que conseiller cette antenne à ceux, qui comme moi, veulent une connexion correcte sur un PC de bureau dépourvu de Wifi à l'origine.

Der Stick funktioniert genau für meinen Einsatzzweck: Bisher hatte ich den PC mit einem LAN Kabel an den Router angeschlossen, aber die Telefondose ist leider weiter weg und in einem anderen Raum, so dass die herumliegenden Kabel sehr genervt haben und sich auch schon der Mantel des Kabels begann zu lösen. Jetzt habe ich Ordnung!Ich hatte ein wenig Bedenken, ob der Empfang gut ist, aber alles läuft einwandfrei. Ich habe einen Front-USB-Anschluss genommen, denn dann zeigt die Antenne in die Richtung des Routers. Und das beste: Man muss nichts einrichten oder installieren! Echt nur reinstecken, dann einmal in die Netzwerkeinstellungen gehen, das WLAN suchen und das WLAN-PAsswort eingeben. Sofort lief alles! Es ist zwar eine CD-Rom dabei mit einem Treiber, auch die Zeiten, wo man so etwas brauchte, sind denke ich vorbei.Also eine klare Empfehlung, auch für Leute mit wenig Ahnung von solchen Dingen!

I've been working from home for a year now, and only recently I brought home my work computer (desktop). Because it doesn't have a wifi card in it, it was recommended by our IT guy to get this adapter. I was skeptical at first but got it. It works great, I thought my wifi wasn't going to be stable enough to sustain the connection, but it hasn't let me down. Haven't had the opportunity to use their tech support because I haven't had any problems with it, which is a good thing.

I bought this for my Dad. He said it was fantastic - easy to set up in just a few minutes, and then he had WiFi in his office which is 20 metres from the house, which was just as good as the WiFi in the house.
