Just simply wrap the post with the L-shaped pieces, overlap each piece in sequence, and cross-drill the screws into the screw holes where the pieces overlap. The installation is easy and simple.

These look really good while they protect your post safe from the harmful bumping and thrashing of your lawn equiptment.They are adjustable from the standard 4X4 up to a 6X6 post. Verytough and easy to install.

EZ to install. I used all (4) pieces for the fence post. The adjustable size came in handy and it fits just right. It's very sturdy, the height size is perfect and really tidied up the bottom of the post. Our heavy duty weed wackers were too hard on our aluminum covers, so these steel covers should last longer! Looks great. I'm happy with it & have No complaints. I would recommend it.
