Welp…. It’s a globe bought to fit the glass one on a ceiling fan I inadvertently tossed out … and nope, Lowes/hd don’t carry the rightdd as I’ve! This is plastic, and kinda pricey for what it is… but it fits and life is better!

I purchased this to replace a broken glass globe with a threaded base that screws onto the fixture. The unit that arrived in THREE days despite Amazon Prime's 2-day shipping policy merely has a flanged base. I managed to attach it to the outdoor fixture with some caulk to hold it in place, but I'm not sure how long it will hold or how easy it will be to remove when it becomes necessary to replace the bulb. In terms of appearance, it does seem to be a satisfactory and less fragile match for the glass globe in the matching fixture.
