Not giving this 5 stars because this is not the exact replacement part. This part is made by Whirlpool but it is not the same as the original Jenn Air part. You have to extend some of the wires and reuse the old heat sensor even though the kit comes with a new one. Instructions weren’t the best either, but replacement unit has been working good for about three weeks now. Jenn Air, Maytag, Amana and several other brands are now owned by Whirlpool. My guess is that they are trying to retrofit current Whirlpool parts onto the brands they acquired to save money in inventory.

At first I thought this was the wrong part but after digging in the box and finding a printed sheet on how to Jimmy rig it to fit older range models my brother was able to make it work. For instance, the new element has a light bulb to indicate the element is on when my stovetop only has one light indicating the surface is hot, not individual element lights. I'm a novice but my brother figured it out. You have to rewire it a bit. Just so you know.
