FIrst things first, everything I've read has said any coaster brake hub you buy should be greased before installing it on the bike. It's a nasty hassle that involves taking the "guts" out, but it's absolutely necessary to get a proper use of it. For my very heavy cruiser bike, I was torn between this and a steel one with thicker spokes, I chose this, as the reviews for the all steel ones, mostly complained about irreparable dings. Another common complaint about these wheels is the shipping, put in a cheap box the axle tends to poke through the box creating a hole, leaving the fine threads to abrasion and wear. Fortunately this wheel came surprisingly well packed, the accompanying hardware was still in the box and ready to go. Once out the box the spoke tension made a very satisfying boooooooooooooong sound as I sat it on my workbench. I'm pretty darned pleased with it so far.Edit; A quick disassembly, showed this hub was already greased and ready to run.

I purchased the rear rim for my bike. The original rim was damaged, when I had a flat. I switched out the old for the new. It was easy and rides better. It looks great and fits like new. It works fine with no problems. It's accurate.

Well, it's made of aluminum compared to the steel wheel I replaced. The sprocket came separately. You have to install the chrome cover plate first, then the sprocket and the ring lock. Make sure the ring lock is properly seated on the ring grove. You need 2 screw drivers in order to perform this task. Also, you have to loosen the 17mm bolt and adjust lightly to freely spin the wheel. What to remove from your old wheel:1) Rubber rim strip2) Rubber inner tube3) Tire.

This bicycle wheel seems really good. I've only used it for a few miles, but I'm very pleased. I'll be back to give an update after I've put two or three hundred miles on it.Well, it's almost a year later, and I have nothing but good things to say about this wheel. I use my bike about three times per week, going to the store. And about half the time, I'm hauling all I can fit on the bike and inside my backpack. I'm carrying a backpack weighing about 25 pounds. The rear basket is carrying about 40 pounds, and I weigh about 180. And the average distance I ride per trip is about a mile.I didn't think this tire would hold up, being made of aluminum. And it's very light compared to a regular stell wheel. But, I was wrong. It has held up very nicely. The tire is still very straight, and the spokes are tight.I do regularly lubricate the bearings every four month with a high quality grease. But, that had nothing to do with the structural integrity of the rim and spokes.I'd definitely recommend this wheel. Hope this helps.

Maybe I am picky but I expect a new wheel to be packed with grease and roll smoothly. This thing rumples and stops after a few rotations. If I have to remove axle and pack myself I might as well rebuild my old wheels.

My ten year old Schwinn Windwood 26" coaster wheel cruiser had a couple of thousand miles on the rear wheel. I ordered this WheelMaster KT-305 wheel and it was an exact replacement for the Schwinn OEM wheel. Same rim, same gearing, everything. The trim package included a new 18T sprocket. I installed that with the supplied snap ring and mounted the tire. The wheel runs smooth right out of the box. I immediately put 14+ miles on it with no problems. This cruiser wheel is well worth the money. Came well packaged by Bike World USA.

Packaging came damaged so the threads on one side of the axel were damaged also.No tube liner protection, so you have to buy your own.Everything else was in good condition, and mounting was a breeze.Arrived on time.Shame that for the price, they couldn’t throw in a Rim strip.
