Tried to make a cheesecake for Valentine’s Day. The pan leaked into the bottom of oven and caused a fire. Don’t do it. Had to throw the pan in the trash.

I can’t get a proper British style pork pie in my neck of the woods. So I decided to have a go and make them myself. I looked at other types of tins available and steered clear of the real cheapies. I bought four of these spring-form tins (come in pairs) specifically as molds for ‘hot water pastry’ pork pie making. Although labelled as ‘non-stick’ I never the less very slightly grease the insides before using. These tins are so easy to use. They remove easily from cooked pies, without any mess, and wash up nicely. Diameter of tin provides for a most decent sized individual pork pie. Have made several batches of pies to date. Very happy with my tins....and even happier with the results. A good purchase!
