I use this for descaling my tankless hot water heater. It is very quiet and really moves the water through. Nice heavy design too.

This little pump is a workhorse. Handles very large volumes of water by using the larger port and hose. Very easy to use. Seems to have plenty of power. Does not have a shutoff so you need to monitor it as the water level drops so the unit does not continue to run without water. Very pleased so far.

I've been using this unit for 2 years now to pump rain water from a 550 gallon reservoir uphill (about 10 feet) to my garden. I have a very restrictive setup with 100' of 1/2" hose and a spigot that necks down to 3/8", so actual pump volume is much higher than what I typically see. I still see about 2.4 gallons per minute, or about a gallon every 24 seconds, with all the above restriction and at about ten feet above the pump and tank. This pump deals with shingle grit, bugs, pine needles and other junk that comes off of the roof of the house and doesn't miss a beat. I also forgot to drain the remaining water from my tank in the winter of 2021 and my tank froze solid with the pump in it and still functioned flawlessly when it thawed out. I don't recommend freezing your pump in a block of nasty rainwater ice, but if you do, you'll probably be fine.

I'm a hottub service technician and I use this pump to drain atleast 3 hottubs every week. I bought it in 2016 and it's still going just fine in 2022. I leave it in the back of my work truck to get banged around and frozen etc. Fantastic pump. 5 stars for sure. I'm writing a review now because I don't want this pump to get discontinued or something so I'm buying my backup right now.

I used it to remove the water on my pool cover. The pump is AMAZING. Just plug a cheap hose to the pump and connect it to power. When the level of the water was very low, I left it unplugged and gravity ends up emptying the cover. Reasonable price, no need to buy a super expensive pump for this job. It will be useful as well for removing water from small kid pools.

I bought this back in June '17 and have used it a total of 3 times since. I'm using this to pump water through a wort chiller, so what I'll do is fill my sink up with ice water and pump that water through the wort chiller and recirculate that water so I'm not dumping gallons down the drain. So like I said the first few times, no problem. This last time I used it (4th) the pump just had zero uumph behind it and the water was going nowhere.I'm really good about my tools/appliances and this is general use for this piece of hardware. For $70 You'd expect more than 3 uses out of something before it just goes caput...Pretty bummed out about this product.

During the summer, we typically get a large inflatable pool for the kids, but I feel guilty about the water used. I decided to try this to distribute the old water to the lawn and shrubs rather than just dumping it and making mud (we keep the pool off of the lawn). Besides the fact that a large pool is impossible to drain without breaking your back, using buckets, or deflating completely, putting the water to good use seemed like a good idea.I just took this pump out of the box, hooked it up, and it worked great! I did not buy any special attachments. I hooked it right into a regular hose using the included adapter. I did try to hook up a different hose mid-way through and suddenly the pump wasn't working! I realized that I had disconnected the power, pulled the pump out of the water, reconnected the hose, and re-submerged the pump, then plugged it in. All the right steps, but it wasn't priming. The first time I put it in, I noticed some bubbles coming up from where the hose joins and it had worked fine. This time no bubbles came out (I must have gotten a better seal...but too good I guess). To fix it, I just unscrewed the hose a bit, watched for some bubbles (to let more water into the pump I assume), re-fastened the hose while the pump was underwater, and plugged in again. This time it worked! So:Make sure the pump is under water BEFORE you hook up the hose to ensure enough water is inside before turning it on.The only con I have is that is is pretty slow output. I guess the pool is pretty big, but I expected more of a "gush". It's less output than a hose from the house would create. So it takes longer to drain the pool than it does to fill up, but I'm happy that the drain water is not being wasted. And the price is right - not too expensive. Plus it will be handy around the house for other purposes at some point I'm sure.

I purchased this pump to empty my 21,000 gallon in ground swimming pool. I used the 3/4" connector and purchased a 50 foot 3/4" hose. I fed the hose to the clean out port under my kitchen sink. The pump took about a day and a half to empty the pool. There was a rise of about 8 feet, including the full depth of the pool and the uphill slope to the drain, and all 50 feet of hose was used. The pump worked fine and managed to pump out all the water and associated debris in the pool down to about a 3/4" inch puddle. When I was finished, I removed the 4 screws from the base and cleaned the inside. I am very pleased with the performance of this pump. Good performance for the price.

This pump works very well. I pumped out a 13,000 gallon swimming pool through a 100-ft 3/4" garden hose that had to go up over a 7-ft wall to the front yard where the drain-out pipe was. Took about 33 hours; pump ran continuously with no issues. I timed filling a gallon jug and calculated the flow rate at approximately 420 gallons per hour, which was pretty close when I calculated how long it would take to drain the pool. I bought two 100-ft 3/4" Colorite Element hoses (very good hoses) because I wasn't sure if 100 feet was going to be long enough to make it to the front yard drain-out pipe. It was, so I have a spare 100-ft hose. I ordered a second pump so that next time I can drop both pumps down in the pool and cut the time in half. The cost of the pump and one hose is about the same as what I paid last time to rent a pump and hoses, so it has paid for itself with one drain. Very happy with this pump.
