Although both twist and thumb throttles have spring mechanisms which will turn them back to their initial position, having switches on brake levers add a second layer of safety. While these Ebike brake levers are designed for V-Brakes and mechanical disc brakes, levers are long enough to be used on cantilever brake systems.

These are basically the same brake perches that came on my E-Scooter. There are small differences but not as far as function. I got them for extras, in case my levers break. They have the electrical wires hooked up to the off switch inside the perches to illuminate brake lights. They aren't adjustable other than the brake cable tensioner on the in port for the cables. These are for mechanical brakes only, but they work and that is all you need. No need to complain about these.

These levers should be used on V-brake and mechanical disc systems only. Cantilever brakes require more mechanical leverage at the lever.
