The strap at the top works really well to get into your pack without removing the cover. Perhaps I wait until my pack is already getting wet to put it on--not sure if it's completely waterproof. I love the orange for hunting season as a safety precaution and should I get lost or hurt, might be easier to find me. It's lightweight and stuffs into my pack without taking up too much space. I don't use the little zip bag it comes in because I don't want to add weight to my pack. I got the size for my pack--didn't need to go up a size.

As soon as I opened the item, I ran it under a shower / tap. No water got through and ran straight off the cover, leaving it instantly dry. Fits my bag perfectly and the colour is an exact match. Very light weight. I like the little case it comes with too.

Bought one of these for my Tokyo trip. It rained a little while I was there but using this along with my small umbrella, I was able to keep my backpack dry. I had my camera in there so I definitely wanted to stay dry.The elastic strap makes it quite useful when you need to access your backpack. Just pull up the cover and it slips off but doesn’t completely fall off. It will be rather wet though, so try not to flick water on anyone around you.On a side note, my specific backpack is the Thule Construct 24L. Best Buy sells it but they call it the “Constract” 15.6, which is most likely a typo. Model is CONBP116.

Used this in an English rain storm while outside over three days, water did not get under the cover, I have not used it while walking only stationery. I'm happy with my purchase as I works as expected.

Had no idea what to expect when I bought the 60-70L size for my Swiss Gear back pack which measures approx: 20"x16"x10". The cover fits with room to spare, but is tight enough with the elastic around the edge of the cover to stay on over my bag. The clip/strap gives me peace of mind knowing it will stay on. Used it in the rain today while hiking across Central Park (lol) and it worked beautifully keeping my bag dry. Happy with this purchase...and it comes inside a small clear plastic bag/case to keep your cell phone dry as well. The material also isn't noisy or wasn't loud enough to make me take notice of it (which I usually do with many items). Happy with this purchase and it came quickly too!UPDATE:A year later and I'm SUPER HAPPY with my purchase! I've used it almost daily for the last month for other purposes than rain, and it has held up beautifully! I love finding products I'm pleased with and happily recommend this item!

This cover has an excellent and easy to use design. Did not get to test much of the water proofing ability besides some snow but it seemed to shed water well. My only complaint is that it needs to be made of a tougher or thicker material. After 1 weekend backpacking trip I have some holes in it from leaning my bag against some rocks despite being very careful not to tear the material. It was fine setting the back in the dirt and snow but any abrasive material and it seemed to tear fairly easy.UPDATE:Gryps-Us reached out to me of their own accord apologizing for the issue I had and offered to send me 2 replacements. That is excellent customer service! As I stated above I really like the design of these covers, it fits my 65L bag perfect. The buckles at the top mean that you can lift the bottom out of the way to access pockets without completely removing the cover and then easily wrap it back around your bag. Needless to say, I can’t wait to get back out on the trails with the new cover! Thank you Gryps-US!

Works great on my Camelbak Sequoia 22L. I needed a rain cover for my trip to Hawaii and this one works perfectly. Has a bit extra room which I wanted in case I have extra gear stuffed in the outside pockets. I like the light weight but rugged material, as well as the strap that holds it securely at the top of the pack. We made several day hikes in wetter areas of the Big Island and the pack cover kept everything very dry. Very good quality for the price. Glad to add it to my gear ~ highly recommend!

As a college student, I like products that offer reliability at an affordable price. While it is not always possible, from time to time I will come across a product that meets all the criteria. This was one of them.So why the 3 star rating? The product does what it's supposed to do-it keeps water out. (I tested it by pouring an entire water bottle which slid graciously off the material. Not one drop went through.)The problem was the sizing. I measured my backpack and added an extra inch to make sure the product fit. I even followed another reviewer who said to size up and ordered the 40-50L thinking it would fit just fine as it was a size bigger than the recommended option. Needless to say, it was too small. Sure it fit just fine BUT only if my bag is empty and I squeeze all the air out. If I add my laptop and 1 inch binder, then the sides aren't long enough to cover my bag.Considering I followed their chart and even went as far as upsizing, I was quite dissapointed. Sure, I reccomend the product but you might want to think twice about tje size you opt for.Update: The company contacted me immediately after posting my review. They sent a replacement free of charge along with an apology. The new size fit perfecly. My bag is no fully protected.I am very satisfied with the product and their customer service.
