Installing a W10918546 Gas Oven Igniter requires basic tools and DIY skills
Disconnect the power before installing this part and we also recommend you wear work gloves to protect your hands during this installation
- Turn off the oven's power.
- Remove the access panel at the bottom of the oven.
- Disconnect the wires from the old igniter.
- Remove the old igniter.
- Insert the new igniter into the oven.
- Connect the wires to the new igniter.
- Reinstall the access panel.
- Turn on the oven's power.
- Test the igniter by turning on the oven and checking if it heats up properly.

This is the third igniter we have ordered from Amazon that has lasted only a short time. This one lasted 11 months before it broke. It guess that's better than the one that last only 5 months? I'm done ordering cheap aftermarket parts in China. Going to order an original manufacturer part now and see if that works any better.

I purchased this igniter to replace one that had gone out in my oven. Installed this igniter and it worked perfectly for about a month and a half and it quit today. I would not recommend this replacement.
