It is one of the best speakers I have used with Microphone. The voice is very clear and loud. I used it with Teams meetings and the participants can hear me load and clear.

How has nobody else noticed this? Windows 11 doesn't recognize it.Under "Connecting to a Windows PC via USB," step 2, "When the speakerphone is recognized by your Windows PC, all the multicolored LEDs turn green for two seconds."This never happens.

In our new age of remote work, the need for high-quality audio has become utmost important. This VTech VCS601-2 conference speaker entered my radar, promising unparalleled sound and seamless connectivity. The design of the speaker is simple yet elegant and looks very good among your office accessories. But it's not just the aesthetic appeal, but also the thoughtful placement of controls, contributing to its clutter-free appearance. The quality construction, coupled with a palm-sized rectangular shape, emphasized the speaker's quality. The inclusion of an NFC tag for quick pairing is great, reducing the “friction” often associated with mobile Bluetooth connectivity. My primary reason for getting this speaker was to improve my Zoom calls, where the inadequacies of laptop speakers became apparent. The VTech VCS601-2 speaker delivered on its promise, providing the highest quality, crisp and clear speech tailored for communication platforms. The 6 built-in microphones, a critical component for remote calls, outperformed my laptop's built-in mic by far, ensuring my voice is captured distinctly even when I move away from the device. The touch buttons, illuminating subtly in the center of the speaker, are not just aesthetically pleasing but also exceedingly functional, offering volume control, play/pause/call, and mute options. The volume “halo” around the controls, appearing only during adjustments, minimizes visual distractions - a thoughtful and practical design choice. I have to emphasize the reliable Bluetooth connection. Previous experiences with wireless options had often been marred by skips and drops, but the VTech VCS601-2 speaker delivers a robust and consistent connection. The integration of an NFC tag for quick pairing allows connection to any mobile device in a matter of seconds seamlessly, transitioning between laptop and iPhone calls. The built-in rechargeable battery further enhances device's mobility and flexibility when moving around the house, while traveling, and on-the-go.End-to-end, transitioning from uncomfortable headsets to the VTech VCS601-2 conference speaker significantly improved my work-from-home experience. The mute button, with its red indicator, proved to be a valuable feature, and the up-and-down volume buttons, accompanied by a visible “halo” around the controls, were easy to use. It effortlessly replaced both headsets and traditional speakers, streamlining my remote collaboration setup. It is an expensive device, but it is worth every penny.*** TL;DR ***Yes, I definitely and unequivocally recommend this VTech VCS601-2 conference speaker! Designed for remote work, it offers Hi-Fi audio quality, an elegant yet functional design with touch controls, and excellent portability. It addresses the shortcomings of laptop speakers in Zoom calls, delivering clear speech and superior microphones. The touch buttons are both aesthetically pleasing and functional, with reliable touch detection. Bluetooth connection and quick NFC pairing streamline the user experience, making it absolutely superb. Solid 5-star product!+++ Pros +++1) Truly Hi-Fi audio clarity.2) Exceptional 360 audio pickup.3) Quality construction and elegant design.4) Illuminated touch buttons.5) Reliable Bluetooth connectivity.6) Integrated NFC tag for easy pairing.7) Intuitive controls and feedback.8) Not that expensive at all.--- Cons ---1) Can't daisy-chain several speakers.

The microphone array worked great in a loud environment. The Bluetooth connectivity is easy. I only wish sound output was good enough for music but that’s not its ideal use. I have paired it with a JBL speaker for output and it works flawlessly.

This thing is very easy for me to throw in my bag before going to meetings. Having a speakerphone that I can plug into my PC is great for those meetings that might occur in odd rooms, the sound quality is excellent, and it has a wide range that it captures sound from when it comes to the built in mics. NFC pairing is awesome and the battery life is even better. I couldn't speak highly enough of it!

This is my first VTech product and I'm honestly very impressed with the company and conference speakerphone.Pros:* Sound quality is great.* The sensitivity of the 360 voice localization is good even with a large conference area.* No glitchiness or issues with the BT/NFC connectivity on the different Android smartphones I tested it with.* Doesn't take up much space.* Adequately long battery life and can serve as a power bank.Cons:* The background noise reduction isn't the best.Overall, I would recommend it. Especially at the current price point of $79.95.

There's not a lot of fiddling required for this device. It pairs quickly and it functions great. Co-workers had issues with my previous speakerphone device and they have not mentioned any sound or mic issues with this device. I have used it wired to my laptop, and via Bluetooth to my Android phone. The NFC pairing feature on the Android phone is really nice and makes pairing it with phones easy. The app is very barebones which is fine, and there were no firmware updates required as the device shipped with the latest. I really like how the LED lights on the device light up to indicate where the sounds is coming from. This is a nice visual indicator that the directional mics are working and calculating where the speaker is located in the room. If you are looking for a speaker phone that "just works" this is a perfect option with a bunch of connectivity features that allows for great flexibility.
