I have worn the Skywalk hiking boot through snowstorms and rainstorms and on hiking trails for years. It's a high-quality, well-made boot. I have various problems with my feet, but can say that this is a supportive, long-lasting boot -- the only hiking boot I have ever found that does not hurt my feet. The only reason I had to order is a new pair is that my other pair is in storage right now. Thank you for a great product.

These Boots were Exactly as advertised. I have been looking for the same type of boots for myself to buy but unfortunately all the men sizes are no longer available for this model. First day we took these boots right out the box and hike 19 miles with no issues. My daughter said that the arch support was perfect plenty of toe room and felt light on her feet.

I'm sure you are scouring reviews because of the good price of this boot. The reviewers who say that this boot is narrow and shorter than expected are correct. If you have a regular to narrow foot you will be pleased with this boot. Some reviewers expressed their frustration with purchasing a wide boot one size greater than their usual size and still finding the boot unsatisfactory. I did not find the boot to be so far out of the bounds of its size range to warrant such an evaluation. I typically wear a size 7. I occasionally purchase a 7.5 in running shoes or hiking boots dependent upon the brand. I purchased a 7.5 in this boot. I found the length to be sufficient. I found the narrowness of the toe box and the boot to hold my foot in place so that I cannot, even with great effort, jam my toes against the boot while not being restrictive or uncomfortable. I have wrecked one of my ankles and I wanted the stiff support so that I can continue to hike. The last hike I completed in a softer boot left my ankle very sore. The old-school substantial build of this boot was what I was looking for.The boot is indeed stiff. The boot does not fit like a tennis shoe as do so many of the other non-break-in boots. These boots will require a substantial break-in but then you will have a boot that you can actually use for years that shouldn't wear out on you like the softer boots. If that is what you are looking for I say go for it.I did read that a couple of reviewers noted that the soles separated from the boot - if that is to be the case that just stinks. Vasque/Red Wing has a crap warranty. So there it is hikers, my 2 cents. I hope it helps.

First let me start by saying the positives about these boots. They are very cute, I love the vintage look to them! They offer good ankle stability, as someone with weak ankles this was very important to me. They are really well made and I can definitely see them lasting a very long time. Now the negatives, really just one negative, they are very narrow! I don't have super wide feet, but based on other's reviews I sized up. I normally wear a 6 1/2 so I went up to a 7. Length wise the 7 fit well giving me a little room for a pair of thick socks. But width wise they pinch and rub on the outside of my feet so bad! I've probably put about 15 miles on them so far and they are nowhere close to being broken in. However, once I can get them broken in, I am very hopeful that I will absolutely love them!

These boots are extremely heavy and have no give or flexiblity to them. If you plan on kicking around large rocks these boots are for you! They seem durable and sturdy, also waterproof, but I felt like frankenstein walking around in them. They also run small, I've never worn bigger than a size 10, but with these you most definetely want to order at least a half size up. Returned!
