I have a Kohler Courage engine that leaked at the valve cover. I watched many videos on how to fix this but it still leaked. I got this valve cover and it has not leaked. I have this with just the gasket and no RTV sealant. I also thought I had a crank seal leaking but since fixing the valve cover leak I guess it was just oil from the valve cover seeping in that area because it has been dry around there. To me this has been a great value. Installation was easy and as stated it has fixed my problem.

This is what the doctor ordered! perfect replacement cover, with a thick cork gasket and a re-enforcement plate for the leak prone bottom. Could not be happier with the fit and no leaks! highly recommend!

Fits the Kohler engine very well. The kit is complete with good instructions. Highly recommend! The job does take some time, so be patient.

This valve cover kit was not specifically listed as compatible for my Craftsman LT2500 riding mower with Kohler SV620 engine. Due to the muffler being attached immediately below my valve cover, I had to modify the clamp bracket to clear the muffler bolts. This kit is a nice upgrade from original. The edges of the new cover flange bend in as opposed to out (my original cover is picture #2), which help in keeping the gasket from being squeezed out, and also allowing the use of the clamping bracket which prevents the cover from distorting. I used the gasket along with red RTV silicone on both sides, and torqued bolts to 65 in/lbs one hour after the install. Confident this will last longer than the annual gasket changes of the past. The cover’s stamping quality and metal thickness is indistinguishable from the original.
