Information
- Dies can process external threads, and be divided into a cutting part, a positioning part and a chip hole. Dies have round dies, square dies, hex dies according to the shape. They are also called as ordinary thread dies, pipe thread dies and tapered pipe thread dies according to the purpose.
- Use chip fluid (oil) to obtain quality threads, and it is also suitable for thread maintenance. Suitable lubricating oil is conducive to cutting or cooling, making cutting easier, improving smoothness and dimensional accuracy.

- Round threading dies are suitable for general purpose threading.
- Can process, correct or clean the external threads. Good for maintenance and repair work.
Lubricating Oil
- Lubricant should be applied to the cutting edge. It can help to extend the service life of tools in tapping operations.
- Suitable lubricating oil is conducive to cutting or cooling, making cutting easier, improving smoothness and dimensional accuracy.
- It needs to be reversed every 1/4~1/2 turn to facilitate the chip discharge from the chip hole.

The image showing 20mm is incorrect. It is 25mm across, so You'll need a larger die handle than recommended.

The description states the outer diameter of this die is 0.81" (13/16"). The die's is actually 1.0" in diameter.

Just received this item and its much beefier than image. But -1 star as its 25mm diameter not 20mm as listed so its not fitting my die wrench.

Pros:+ Cuts threads cleanly.+ Adjustability is useful.I bought this because I was having trouble with mail-formed threads using another die ("Kobalt" brand). This one gave much better results. I think the better results came at least partially from two features in the die(1) a longer/deeper thread-cutting area on the die; (2) the adjustability (slightly wider in my case). However, there was a third factor that relates to the shape of the die. The dies in my old set are hexagonal, and the T-handle that goes with them is just a basic one, with no guides. This die is round, and the T-handle I have of that time has three cam-adjustable tabs that guide and center the in-feed side of the rod going into the die. That may be the biggest reason for my improved results.

Cuts steel like butter, threads came out surprisingly smooth. Far better experience than past attempts at buying cheapo dies online, highly recommended!
