This was not exactly plug and play as advertised. At least for Windows 11. Windows detects it as a USB drive initially and if you look at the drive from your done explorer, the driver install is in there. Once the driver was installed, it worked like a champ.Leaving 4 stars for having terrible install instructions.

My laptop’s internal WiFi started acting up, making browsing painfully slow. I decided to give this WiFi adapter a try, and I’m so glad I did! Right out of the box, setup was a breeze—just plug and play, no headaches. The driver installed automatically, and within minutes, my laptop was back online. I also love the foldable high-gain antenna—it gives me a super stable connection. If you're looking for a reliable WiFi solution, this one is definitely worth it!

The wifi died on my laptop so I decided to give this adapter try. When I plugged it in a folder popped up. The folder contained just one file...the driver. The driver installed quickly. The adapter then appeared on my list of available wifi adapters. Once selected it worked perfectly. I had no issues at all. I'm happy with this adapter and happy to get my laptop back online.

I purchased this dongle because I was having very slow and inconsistent download speeds with the internal WiFi 5 adapter in my HP Envy desktop. Not sure this would be the solution, I didn't want to spend a lot but wanted WiFi 6 protocol. My closest transmitter was about 10 feet away so didn't need an elaborate antenna system. Plugging in the dongle to a front USB port, it provided the driver installation file and had no problem recognizing my network. Connected to the 5 Ghz band, something my desktop didn't do consistently. I now have download speeds of almost 400 Mbps when connected to my eero mesh system. No need to buy anything more expensive. Happy camper!

I've been trying out a lot of these Wifi 5/6 USB adapters lately, and I'm seeing a disturbing trend of most of them requiring you to install some unknown driver that "conveniently" comes on a hidden partition that resides on the same USB peripheral that you will eventually use to connect to and utilize the internet...I really dislike having to install several different random drivers (and who knows what else) every time I plug in a new Wifi adapter.Literally every modern operating system nowadays comes with generic plug-and-play drivers built in to at least get you up and running so you can go to the manufacturers' website to download a newer/better optimized driver.I don't like being forced to install whatever outdated and potentially insecure driver (and again, who knows if other software is also being installed along-side) comes preloaded on the device itself. Now that all of that is out of the way, this is a USB 2.0 device. That means that no matter how fast your internet connection is, you will be limited by the theoretical maximum transfer speed of USB 2.0 (480 Megabits per second)Most of the other adapters I've tried recently are USB 3.0 which offers transfer speeds of up to 5 gigabits per second, which is approximately 640 MegaBytes per secondAnother thing I noticed about this specific adapter, when compared to other adapters of similar specs (USB 2.0, AX900), this device has a bad habit of mysteriously dissappearing when I reboot, causing me to have to unplug, and plug it back in for it to be detected and resume working again.Very annoying. It does have Bluetooth, but if you're downloading lots of files at the same time, or downloading a large file from a very fast server (basically utilizing as much bandwidth as possible), the bluetooth connection gets choppy, stutters, and sometimes drops for 3-10 seconds before returning and reconnecting to your headset.
