The source device must support Multi-Stream Transport (MST) for extended display functionality. Not compatible with HDMI-only devices, gaming consoles, or macOS for extended mode.
To Power The Adapter Use included USB Cable
This adapter requires additional external power for proper functionality. Please connect the included USB cable to a USB 3.0 or USB 4.0 port to ensure adequate power—USB 2.0 is NOT supported. This MST hub is fully compliant with DisplayPort 1.4 and 1.2. Ensure that your source device’s video card and display support DisplayPort 1.4 and MST for optimal performance.

Compatibility:
- MacOS: Does not support MST function and will only mirror the displays.

Multi-Stream Transport (MST) Hub: An MST Hub enables two different display modes on up to two monitors connected to a single DisplayPort output.
Duplicate Mode: You can connect a single display at resolutions up to 4K@60Hz to mirror your computer's desktop.
Extended Desktop Mode: Connect two monitors and the hub will automatically extend the image to span the two displays at resolutions up to 4K@60Hz for each display.
Requirements
- Desktop computer or laptop with an available DisplayPort 1.4 Dual-mode output
- Compatible with NVIDIA Surround technology or AMD Eyefinity graphics adapter and they are required to support Panoramic Video Wall mode
- The USB power source (5V/1000mA)
NOTE: In some configurations, it is possible to experience an issue where one of the monitors is flickering - A fix is availible.
**Maximum resolution output is dependent upon the system's capability to support the same and on the peripherals, connecting cables, and display settings for your system. Please refer to the display resolution combination chart to correctly match your requirements with the output. HDMI 2.0 Cables (sold separately) must be used for 4K at 60Hz.

Keeps my monitors happy! Doesn't extend the desktop screen but makes a copy of it. It does allow the windows to expand across screens .

Stopped working after 2 months. My monitors keeps saying not receiving signal and keeps on flickering. I have the same experiences as the other who bought this product. Very annoying! Not recommended, it's a waste of money. No star, but I have to give 1 star to post this review.

This product is trash. From the first time I plugged it in, both of my screens flash constantly. It's so annoying. Every 30 seconds or so one of my screens turns black for about 5 seconds. Everything is connected well, this product is just faulty and they won't allow a return or replacement. DO NOT BUY

The IT dept at my work will not install 3rd party drivers for display adapters that require them. Because of that, I found this little gem. It literally is plug and play and works without any hiccups. My only negative about it is that the monitor order seems to shuffle randomly when you wake up your computer from sleep or reboot it. That can be a hassle when you have to drag all your icons back to the correct desktop. Overall though, I am VERY PLEASED with this splitter since it has allowed me to add another monitor without having to mess with the IT Dept.

The product did not work in a normal way. I have been trying to use it for more than 4 months now, but every time I turn on my computer, the screen flickers repeatedly. It feels like I will go blind while I am using my two monitors. Now I saw that other people had this problem with this product. Well, now I am out of money and have to spend additional bucks while trying to find alternatives. PS: I also tried changing the USB cable which is used for power oping that may resolve the problem. But even after tying everything, the flickering problem remains.

It was like 1,2,3 so easy to install, the instructions did state to ensure the splitter was being charged upon installation. I missed that step so I would encourage all buyers just to read the packaging or instructions. Once I read the package I was good to go and took me 2 minutes just to setup.

Good but not the best solution for 2 monitors - screen black outs as the 2 streams compete for the single signal. Am going to add a new graphics card with separate streams (DD and HDMI) to each monitor. Hopefully I will find another use for the splitter

Bought a new Dell desktop Windows 11 Pro. Have been using Dell systems for 15+ years running dual monitors for the last 10 years (Windows 7). If you have been running dual monitors like me you cannotbe without them. This Uptap splitter worked great. If you need a splitter this is the one you should buy.
