For your light to medium-weight HAM, CB, GMRS, Marine or other hand-held walkie talkie this is a great permanent mounting solution.The base screws down and gives you an adjustable ~4" shaft to the radio mounting plate. This allows adjustment of angle and reach for your convenience via mounting ball and socket joints. space for the radio AND the Mic to clip on is exactly what I was looking for! Its a great idea!

Got this holder cause I don't know where to place the ham radio mic, cell phone, and extra hand held radio.This Hyshrika solves that problem. The base or foot is held by 3M double sided adhesive tape and if you need more secure attachments. There's 4 screws that are supplied in the kit.This kit is well made and I'm really glad I got it. I can either mount my second hand held radio or mount the microphone holder. In the back you can move the mounts back and fourth. All you really need is a screwdriver and can move the mic holder left or right.I also got a second kit to also hold the cell phone. But haven't decided where I'm going to place that. The kit consist of a 1" ball which is pretty much universal and compatible with anything the brand Ram uses. So you know if you already have an existing mounting solution from the company. You know this will work.The mounting kit is made from what appears to be nylon plastic. Everything is sturdy and holds the radio and microphone rock solid. No movement whatsoever.Any cons? Nope, great product and I'm really satisfied with it and recommend this to anyone who needs a mounting solutions inside their vehicle for the ham radio enthusiasts.

I wish the base plate is bigger. It comes with the tape and can be scewed but at the end it is a bit unstable when mounting item which overhands. I will have to mount this to another bigger plate, then mount the extra plate to the dashbodr somehow. Once its is mounted the arm itself and the mounting clips work very well.
