The lock doesn’t work like any typical one I’ve had before. The port the key slides into extends into a cylinder that rotates with the key. You need to keep a mental note of the position of this cylinder to understand how to catch the lock. I’ve found there are two ways to lock this thing and if you obviously can’t see the cylinder bc it’s nighttime, you can get caught in a frustrating loop trying to lock your bike and you’re accidentally trying to close the lock slightly different from how you think you are.

I like this is a big chain lock, and it is 5 ft. witch I can put around two bikes and lock them, my only concern is that if a bot cutter can cut this chain and steal your bike, I have seen other people with chain around there bikes and someone with bot cutter came by and cut off there chain and took there bikes, I hope this chain will resist being cut like that, but it is not clear if it do or not do.

Bought this lock for my ebike and the locking mechanism eventually became harder to lock and unlock!! The key will go in bit the lil mechanism will stop turning all the way w/o using some force. I definitely don't want to be in a situation where the mechanism wont unlock the chain altogether while trying to retrieve my bike!

When I purchased the lock, I thought it was going to be thicker. The chain feels flimsy and the protective lining is coming apart. I wanted to use it for locking my ladders and other heavy ticket items Plus it is difficult to lock. I bent a key already. Luckily it comes with two.

I’ve had it for about 6 months and it’s starting to not lock/unlock properly. It still works it’s just a little harder to use now.
