Your cart is empty.These feather boa are perfect for dance performances, special events, weddings, Mardi Gras celebrations, photographer props, masquerade parties, bachelorette parties, etc. We also have different size chandelle feather boas available. How do I clean and take care of the feather boas? After you receive the boas, please pull them out of the PVC bag(s), preferably outdoors, in order to get rid of debris formed during processing and shipping. The boas should be hung for 48 to 72 hours before use. The longer you hang them up, the better they will look. Feather boas are also washable. Clean the boas by hand washing in warm water and soap. Rinse off the soap with cold water. Then, wipe off the boas with a towel or paper towels. After removing most of the excess water, use a blow dryer to finish drying the boas and maintain their fluffiness. All of our feather products have been professionally cleaned, steamed, and sanitized. If the strings on the ends of the boa are too long, you may retie the string tightly as close as possible to the feathers and cut the rest off. The boa will not fall apart if you do this.

The boah sheds really really bad. I molted feathers everywhere. From jump, as soon as I took them out of the packaging, they flew out all over the place. Also, I had used them for a Rita Skeeter costume, and they were sewn around my neck and arms. The feathers bleed so badly it looked like I had been strangled and the red was rubbed all over my dress. Do not recommend.

Every spring I grab some of my hen’s eggs and pop them in the incubator. After they hatch, I have a brooder with a heater, and I make a little nest for the chicks of feathers to substitute the warmth of a hen. These feather boas, are a huge hit! My chicks instinctively hide in the warmth and safety of the feathers. I buy a few of these every year and they are good quality and very pretty.

This thing will drop feathers constantly, you'll leave a trail everywhere you go. However there are so many feathers in it, that even when you're constantly losing them, it doesn't seem to lose fullness. I did trim the threads at the end as I found them unsightly. Trimming them (I knotted them first) did not seem to unravel or damage the product. I purchased this for a one time use for an event and it worked perfectly for that occasion. I don't expect it to hold up should it be used regularly. Overall for the price, it's about what I expected and I would buy again if needed.

The ends weren't good. It had about 4 inches of white flat shoe lace sticking out. (I knotted it and cut it short.) The color is great and it is nice and fluffy. Good buy for the price.
