I spent way too much time looking for something to catch the hair in my drain. We live in an apartment, and I needed something so I could give my dog a bath. I have an Australian Shepherd and no matter how many times a week I brush him, he’s basically a hair factory with 4 legs. I was going to just buy one of those cheap square strainer-like things that lay over the drain, boy am I glad I didn’t. I needed a plug for the tub too so we could take baths sometimes, so I figured the price for both was worth it.I think it’s safe to say it did its job. If only they made something to catch all the hair he shook all over the walls 😅

I use it in my bath and im no longer afraid if my long hair go down the drain thia thing will catch it all. Since my hair is long and thick it fill up faat i check after wveey shower or 2 ( I have a lot of hair). The only down side is the little metallic cover fell and impossible to put it back. But otherwise works perfect. Same for the drain

Ordered 1 to test out ended up replacing all covers at home. Its amazing how all the pet and human hair caught by these things preventing future clogs in the drain. Dont forget to also buy the one for shower drain, you'd be surprise the amount of loose hair thats going down ur drain.

My bathroom water was not draining away and I realized it was due to hair clogging up the pipe. Removed the plug and what a horrid mess to clean up. I purchased the drain protector hair catcher. It fit easily into the plug hole and it is fantastic. At the end of the week I just pull it out and the hair is tangled around the plug and you can pull it off with ease. I wish I had seen this product months ago. The plug which is in the set is also good for the nights when you want to soak in the tub. Excellent product and would definitely recommend.

The Hair Catcher part catches all the hair and is easy to clean. The rubber stopper does not make a water tight seal. There is a slow leak of water out of the tub and it also is easy to accidently knock out of place. I bought a rubber tub stopper to use instead of the one in the kit. I recommend buying the hair catcher without the stopper.

Our tub schroom doesn't sit in the drain straight as our adapter is off centered, but it still catches a bunch of hair. I've only been using this for a little over a week and it works just like it should. It doesn't sit flush with our tub, but again, that is because our tub drain adaptor is off centered, but it still does its job.

Why did I wait so long to try this product? This has been the perfect solution for me, someone with medium length hair who loses a lot of it in the shower. I previously had various iterations of a rubber/plastic daisy covering the built-in metal bathtub plug. Invariably, some hair would get through and the tub would start draining slowly. This mushroom-shaoed contraption works exactly as advertised, with the hair spooling around it beneath the surface. I could not get the stainless steel one that I wanted (out of stock), but a girl can dream about upgrading later!

We really like the tub shrooms to stop the two long-haired shedders in our house from clogging the drain. Just wish there was someone else to clean the hair from the trap after! We replace them once in a while as they do get a bit gunky in the holes.

I might be the only person who uses my bathtub, but it get completely clogged up in less than a month due to how hard I shed. This hair catcher is incredible. It fits perfectly fine, it keeps me from having to spend money on pipe-devouring Draino every month, and it's so easy to take off and put back on without diminishing its effectiveness that I'm honestly surprised it has worked out this well. Only two complaints, but not bad enough to keep me from ordering this product again in the future:1. I feel like part of it is about to break off after using it for a year, but considering how much this has saved me on drain cleaners and the absolute hassle of trying to pull hair of the drain, worth it even if I have to replace it annually.2. Cleaning it is unpleasant, especially if you're easily grossed out or you don't clean it every three days or so. The stuff kind of sticks to it unless you either pull it off bare handedly or maybe leave it in a cleaning solution for a minute. Just do both. With a paper towel or something. It's still better than pulling your hair out of the drain.

After scouring all the variations of the Shrooms, I chose the one that has the dimension range that fits the drain in my Godmorgen Ikea bathroom sink which has a 1.75in. width and depth. It also had a ring (shown) that must be removed because of the center grid and bolt that holds it down. This made the Shroom sit flat against the sink with nothing to raise it up. I tried just inserting the bolt to rise it to the 1/2 in. suggested gap but that didn't help because the Shroom is hollow and open. Because so many Ikea sinks are sold in the US I supposed they'd consider this when stating 'fits all sinks and tubs'.

Everybody in my house has longer hair. Thick hair. Lots of hair. It ends up everywhere, especially in the shower drain. After the most recent unclogging, I saw a recommendation for this thing and decided to give it a shot.It works great. Hair wraps around it as it goes down the drain. Even when shaving your legs, the hair and shaving gel get caught in the Tub Shroom. I would have been happy if it just reduced the amount of hair going down the drain, but the amount it catches is astounding. And it couldn't be easier to use--take out the drain cover you have, pop this in, and you're ready to go. Check it every shower or two and take off the hair, pop it back in. That's it.I will say that the drain plug isn't quite as nice as the original tub drain cover, which is why I docked a star. I could have gone with just the shroom as I find myself still screwing in the original drain cover when I take a bath. The plug provided is fine, which is why I'm not docking points, I just prefer the seal of the push-and-stop covers.
