This Glecher Tokarev replica was a real surprise. Performance was excellent. Very accurate shooter, realistic weight, comfortable shooting, moderate trigger pull and a beautiful rendition of the original classic. The only issue I had with this airgun is the 'needle' thin front sight, which made aiming difficult. Shooting with Black Diamond BBs and using my FX Crony performance was: Hi=431 fps, Lo=420 fps, Mean=424.72 fps, SD=3.6. Since performance was above the 394 fps advertised spec, I wanted to cross check the results with my Caldwell Crony. Performance measured: Hi=438 fps, Lo=433.5 fps, Mean=433.4, SD=2.3. The Caldwell results were even higher in velocity. I found the reason was that I was using 5.4 for the grain weight of my Black Diamond BBs. The actual weight of those BBs is 5.1 grain, so the FX Crony was reading low due to the higher grain weight used in the profile. I need to correct that. So the Caldwell results were more correct. However, I think you will find that this Glecher Tokarev will consistently outperform advertised spec. After testing, I now wish that I had also bought the TT, blowback version of this excellent airgun. If you have a TT blowback version for sale, please let me know. I'd love to have it. Meanwhile, this NBB more than does the job. Incidentally, the FX measure 1.9 fpe but it probably is really a little lower due to the weight used for the BBs in FX firmware..

Yes this is an excellent replica pistol. But technically it's really a Chinese 51 pistol, which is the Chinese copy of the original Tokarev. You can tell by the vetrical slide striations, which are smooth and refined in he Chinese 51 copy like the Colt Browing type, and not coarse and rough like the original Russian Tokarev TT 33. Both the Chinese and the Russian versions are really copies of the Colt Browning pistol designs, at least in their external appearance.
