At only 41" tall it's not going to stop someone from jumping over it but this brightly painted steel barricade can act as an effective deterrent-barrier to separate areas that you don't want people to walk into. It's made of steel and pretty lightweight which means the scissor section in the middle will flex back-and-forth especially when expanded out to its full eight feet. Not a big deal but it's not as heavy duty as the tall industrial models which are sturdy and difficult to knock over.
