I use ceramic blades because they last longer, stay sharper and have low heat on the blade. I bought these in lieu of the Andis I had been buying and that was a mistake. I noticed my dog getting uncomfortable and I was going to change the blade size it burnt my finger, It was so hot. The Andis that I used never got hot. I bought these and placed them with my tools for grooming and had not used them and now it is too late to send them back. I bought two different sizes now they just go in the trashcan. Don't waste your money.

I was a bit Skeptical about a blade definitely skeptical about ordering a blade from a company or brand that I did not know, but I would like everyone to know that I am definitely, happily surprised that it’s an excellent blade. It tends to actually stay cooler than the other blades that I normally buy it’s extremely sharp well-made I would recommend it to all groomers. When you are attaching it to your clippers, you do not have to mash on it or fight with it to seat in correctly, which is definitely a plus these days.

I am a professionally trained convex edge sharpener. I sharpen all manner of convex edges such as high end barber shears, pet grooming clipper blades (A5 type) like this one and small stock animal clippers. I use an Andis AGC2 clipper, faux fur and a collection of professional tools specifically designed to sharpen and test grooming clipper blades. This blade cut fairly smoothly and quietly but there was a little pulling which shouldn't be present with a quality ceramic blade. Here's what I did to try to "fix" it:- Dismantled the blade and burnished both the cutter and the comb to see exactly where the reciprocating cutting edges were making contact with each other. The blade appears to be flat ground rather than hollow ground. Flat grinding is a much cheaper way to manufacture clipper blades and much less operator skill is required to sharpen them. It also increases the temperature and the wear and tear on your clipper motor.- Blade was set to about 4lbs of tension. A bit more than the recommended 3lbs. This is a common practice to make a mediocre blade cut better. Unfortunately, it also makes the blade run too hot and the increased friction also makes your clipper work too hard and too hot. Reset tension to about 3lbs.- Cleaned, oiled and reassembled the blade. It cut a little better and smoother than it originally did but still not very impressive. While this blade will get the job done it might be worth paying 50% more for a brand name 3 3/4 blade that will work more smoothly and effortlessly.

The TRAH clipper blade perfectly fits my Andis AGC2, even with blade guards. The performance is similar to the well-known branded clipper blades I've used for the past decade. It cleanly cuts through my standard poodle's hair. Having multiple blades on hand is convenient and time-saving, especially when they become hot during grooming sessions. This blade has remained sharp with regular cleaning and oiling after almost six months of use. I highly recommend this clipper blade.

Worked like a champ. I have a labradoodle and an Aussidoodle. Matted and it cleaned them up really good. Will buy again.
