Why the heck is top end tape so spendy?Like all of us I was looking for a cheaper alternative. Since this is cheaper I gave it a 3, but that's the only reason. It's very stiff and difficult to stretch so it lays flat on the bar. Once you stretch it tight enough, it is rock hard. It is tapered but not as much as more expensive tape. The adhesive strip is fine. Bottom line I am not happy with it and will replace it with something else.

Tape backing is far too thin for secure biking. Lasted about 100 miles and then the tape began to disconnect from the handlebars and cause uncomfortable friction.

I am a bike mechanic and I have wrapped 100s of handlebars over the years. This bar tape has to be the worst tape I’ve ever used. It’s not pliable and leaves huge gaps that can’t be corrected without leaving creases in the tape. It feels like if you apply too much tension to it during the installation process, it will break. So no doubt it will not hold up to the rigors of avid cycling.Do yourself a favor; spend just a little extra money and buy a name brand bar tape like Shimano’s Pro or Fizik. Stay away from this cheap, generic product!

Better than what I expected. Very good shock absorption for the this long rides, the red black camo looks perfect on my read and naked carbon bike.

This tape is absolute garbage for road bikes. It's material is completely inelastic, so it bunches up and cannot properly contour around the the bars at all. Not to mention the texture is akin to that of a pair of cheap New Balance shoes. And yes you read correctly, this stuff will feel like crap shoes. I should have read the next couple of reviews which also have the same opinion. Save your money and get some thing else.
