Based on other reviews mentioning this swim set running small, we decided to size up for our toddler and so glad we did. Choosing one size up resulted in a size that fits our toddler just right, with a little room in the waist. Luckily the shorts have a drawstring so the waist can be adjustable. We liked the prints better on the blue set but opted for the white set to be more visible in the pool. We prefer long sleeves for our toddler for sun protection so it is nice to know this set has UPF 50 protection. The material feels similar to other swim sets we own and it went through the washer/dryer without issues.

Sadly, my nephew wore the two pieces once and was so excited but as he got out of the water the fabric looked like it was so old and worn out. Couldn’t believe the poor quality. So sad.

the sizing fits for my 22mo. he's 90th percentile and he's still got a little room in the 18-24mo size. I love the pattern and have gotten compliments on it. i was nervous to trust the UPF rating, but my son has worn these to 11:30 swim class several times and I believe the UPF rating. I love them and would buy them again.

So I’ll mention the obvious, that the color of this swimsuit is NOT suggested for kids in the pool, because it’s hard to see them. However, if you’re using it for kids playing outside, not around a pool, but still needed sun protection, it’s perfect! It kept my 2yo burn free after 4 hrs of direct afternoon sun. It’s a cute pattern and the sizing was correct for him, even a bit big on him, but he’s a bit smaller than most 2yos. Anyway it’s a well made swimsuit and works well at protecting from the sun.

Looking at the fabric label that claims it is made out of 82% recycle polyester and 18% Spandex, I'm very impressed the quality of the fabric. It feels so soft and stretchy. Most importantly, it is UPF 50+ which we really need under Florida sun. I tried to machine wash the set with gentle cycle and cold water, then hang dry indoor, the whole set did not show any color fading or shrink. My boy is 30lbs and 3 feet tall, the 3-4T size that I got for him seems a bit loose but that means he can grow into it. I like that it has a string on the pants which we can tighten it or loosen it. Moreover, the ocean animals print are so cute and my boy loves it!

I like this LDIOIF Toddler Boys Two Piece Swimsuit Rash Guard Set Long Sleeve Swim Shirt, but I think it runs a bit small. Luckily, I have enough grandsons that I can just pass it down to another boy. I was thinking of getting the 5/6 years size for my 7 year old. His size 7/8 swim trunks are so big they won't stay up even with safety pins! But these swim trunks will be too small, I'm sure. I'll pass them to the 5 yr old, who turns 6 next month. The swim trunks have a 20" waist, if that helps.I love the fabric! I didn't know they could make fabric from recycled plastic bottles! The fabric feels like normal polyester/spandex swim suit fabric. It is smooth, stretchy and soft. I love the print design, too. I got the blue option, which is covered with popular sea creatures. There are blue whales, sea turtles, octopuses, star fish, jelly fish... I don't know why they added an eel. I think of eels as part of the "ick" factor, along with leeches. I get a kick out of most language mistakes when I read product listings from China, but this one I just don't understand. They list "hippocampus" as being a popular sea creature. Well, that's part of the brain stem! And I don't think they meant hippopotamus, as there aren't any pictured on the garment, and they aren't sea creatures.Another bonus is the UPF - ultraviolet protection factor. It is at 50+, meaning that it blocks 97% of the harmful ultraviolet rays from the skin. I think long sleeved swimwear is even better than sun screen - it doesn't wash off. I got all the grandkids UPF swimwear this year. So - this is a great little swim suit, with an emphasis on "little". I think the size marked as "5-6 years" is really more for "4-5 years".
