Had to cut the back of the plastic timing cover on 96 ranger 2.3. For the tool to fit. But worked perfectly and made install super easy.

Yes, you can use a pry bar and maybe it will work and maybe you won't skin your knuckles or damage something. Just use this and resell if you are cheap? This tool works perfectly.

We all know 2.3l timing belt tensioners are a pain. This tool makes it easy. Definitely worth it.

This is does the job and saves a lot of annoyance. Made my timing belt on my 1987 2.3 ranger easy.

It does what it’s supposed to do and makes it easier than using a pry bar. It’s pricey for what it is and if you’re lucky you’ll only use it once.
