The product description claims that these tongs are spring loaded. I drag logs off of my trails by myself and really wanted the spring loading. THEY ARE NOT SPRING LOADED. I returned the first pair and wrote the Timber Tuff about it. I never received a reply from the them so I ordered another pair. THESE WERE STILL NOT SPRING LOADED! I never took the chance at using them because of the hassle I anticipated due to the lack of spring loading. I read MANY negative reviews on this product and bought them anyway. It's my own fault for believing the Timber Tuff's advertising.

Like using for picking up logs and stumps it's a back saver.

I bought this, then bought a complete log skidder which had its own skidding tongs, so I sent this one back. But the quality was excellent! Really well-made! I liked these better than the ones that came with the skidder, but I couldn't justify keeping them.

this is what happened the very first time i used it the reason i picked this one was so i could replac the points if i needed to but i did not expect a weld to brake as easy as this did.

Bought these skidding tongs to move come crossties around which it does just fine, then used them again to remove downed trees in my shooting lanes in the woods. I was very skeptical about these at first but have been pleasantly surprised at how sturdy they are.

Works great so far. Machining on the c clips and posts is a bit off but overall seems like it will do a fine job. Already skidded an 8' long 15" oak. Lifted with ease with tractor frontloader. Didnt even need to hammer the spikes at all. They dug in fast and hard.

On to the end of a winch it makes loading timber to the trailer so much easier.

I was surprised how well this worked, even though they were smaller than I was used to. The sharp points at the ends dig right into the logs to lift them safely.

Grabbed some huge logs 8', picked up with tractor, worked great seems to be very tough used 2 days now, not quite as big as 20" regular
