I own a 2001 V6 Chevy extreme and this 3rd brake light lens fit perfectly. Your buying the cover only so keep star screws and bulbs go by a different # than the owners manual but Sylvania makes some. Star hex is needed for screws.

My old gasket was in good condition so I was able to do a direct swap and tighten. Small screws will have o ring. Do no loose. Better than new.

I ordered the correct part... I thought.... It did not fit. I provided the vehicle information when I placed my order (2001 Chevrolet S-10 extended cab with 3rd door) Amazons website showed it was an exact fit for my S-10. But it also stated that it was for "regular or crew cab only" which I did not see and it is confusing. I was unaware that General Motors used different 3rd Brake lamp lenses for the 2001 S-10 pickups depending on the cab type. I had worked at two different local GM dealerships in the service department and I have never heard of anything so stupid... I don't know wtf General Motors was thinking. Luckily, customer service reached out to me and explained that the 2001 S-10 used different lenses and they were determined by the cab type!
