When I plugged in the wire to the trailer plug on my truck and stepped on the brake nothing happens. When I turned the headlights on it would light up. It's suppose to be a third brake light and it doesn't work that way.

Acquired an older ARE camper shell for our pickup. After refinishing the shell, drilled a hole for this light’s lead and two holes for its attachment screws. Applied silicone sealant around the light’s perimeter joint adjacent to the shell. Ran wiring from the shell to the cab and wired this light into the truck’s OEM 3rd brake light harness. Works great.

Does not have screws for mounting and is not very bright from a brake light. It does come with a nice adhesive gasket for mounting and a generous amount of wire along with a connector.

This product does what it's supposed to do. Installation depends on the campershell's hardware setup and may require some improvisation to mount. A four wire trailer interface was sufficient enough to connect to the light's existing plug.
