This California Duster removed the dust and POLLEN (in the south February-March is pollen season) in one swipe. The 25" length of the one piece plastic (less expensive than the classic wood) handle, easily reached across the roof of a compact SUV. Glass (I did not use it on the windshield due to an excess of caution over the auto rain sensing wipers and paraffin in the duster mop, though probably a needless worry), body panels, grill, and head/tail lights all cleaned easily. Did not try it on alloy wheels as I did not want to contaminate the mop with brake dust, and I brush wash those. Restores that just washed looked in seconds to your dusty vehicle. I would not try to clean a really dirty car, mud, etc. with it, but it is not designed to do that. Nicely made, and I expect a lot of use from my California Duster. Guess there is a reason it has been around for so long. Lightweight, comfortable, and the included carry/storage case makes this a great value.

Great product but as always after a few uses you will see the red lint come off on your paint. It’s a small price to pay during pollen season but I feel they should have perfected that after all of these years

I have used these for over 30 years and would never be without one. I like to keep my car clean and looking good between car washes and the duster does the job superbly. I live in an arid climate and dust accumulates on our cars daily so a duster is essential if you want to have a just washed look. I will say that they have changed the design over the years and this one seems to have less material in the mop head compared to the 10 year old one it replaced. I have also noted that there is a small amount of red color fibers from the head that are left on the vehicle after dusting. Hopefully this will go away after more use. If you have never tried a California car duster you owe it to yourself to buy one. You won’t regret it!

I owned an original California Car Duster back in the late 80s -early 90s. I used that one for all of my automotive dust off needs. When I moved 2 years ago, the original one was beat up, and pretty much done with its useful life span. I found this one and ordered it. YEP! It's the same one, same construction, and same ability to clean off a dusty car, table top, shop table, you name it, it will dust it off. Doesn't scratch the surface, and all you have to do is shake it hard and it cleans itself. Perfect. No need to mess with perfection, just get yourself one and you will see!

This actually works and will save money in reducing the number of times I have to go to the car wash. I live on a very dusty road so bought this car duster and was very pleased to discover it does exactly what the description claims it does. When I get into town I can "dust" my car and it looks great.

Great for its intended purpose, hasn’t changed much in decades. Just maintain mop as per directions and keep the light dust off that settles on your ride when it sits. Not recommended for dirt or heavy outdoor particles that may scratch your finish.

i have had California Car Dusters for years. It was time for a new one. They work great unlike some of the cheap knockoffs. This one should last for years.

I live in a very dusty area and I was getting tired of washing my car. I had a California Duster before when I showed a street rod and thought it would be good for my everyday car. I can quickly dust my car and it looks great. It is easy to use and saves me time and water. My old duster had a wooden handle but the plastic handle works fine and is cheaper. Everyone should have one if they like to have their car look nice.
