This product will not hold two group 27 batteries. Actual dimensions of the area that holds the batteries is about 12" x 13.75".

I upgraded my audio system in my 18' boat, so it was time for some new power! One battery wasn't going to cut it with a subwoofer, so I bought 2 brand new type 27 batteries. This tray worked perfectly for keeping them tight and in place. My old battery hold down was just a strap mounted to the hull, which allowed the battery to slide around everywhere. This tray keeps both batteries in place securely.

I saw a few reviews where some folks stated it was too small for 2 group 27 batteries. I'm not sure what they were referring to as this fits 2 group 27 deep cycle batteries perfectly. Tray seems pretty sturdy and of course install was a breeze.

Cheaply made, batteries fit so tight against the sides it flexes...May end up cracking due to the thiness of the plastic..

Tested it on my boat. I have walmart marine batteries for trolling motor. Fit nice for the 27.... but too small for the 29. seems sturdy. plenty of mounting holes. typical strap.
