I use this pole for a multitude of different things. Cutting high limbs with an attachment saw, shaking loose limbs with a Docazoo hook, and getting kid's toys out of the trees. It is heavy and a little cumbersome to use, but that's to be expected for it's size and 30-foot length. Also, the pole extends and "clamps" into position with a rotating locking collar. I've had situations where the collar clamps so tightly I had to use pipe pliers to loosen the collar as it became stuck. This pole has served me well over the years (had it nine years now) and I have been very pleased with the product. It is durable, it works, and it has held well up for my type of use.I would recommend this product for anyone looking for a extendable pole that is expected to do what it is made for, and expect it last with minimal care.

Bought this primarily to reach broken limbs in driveway oak trees before they fell on cars. Used twice so far, and am satisfied they work as hoped. My only criticism would be its weight when fully extended: real hard to get tip where I wanted it. But I did, so there you go. I had tried joining PVC rods, and they were either too limp, or too heavy, depending on the size used. This aluminum pole actually works. If you can get a buddy to help its better when fully extended.

Alot of genius here. The poles are very cool and well built. They are the typical thin aluminum, so you must be careful on the distribution of tension. But they are more than I expected. The way they are built, I think I can even shorten them relatively easily for a shorter need. Very much worth the price.

Poorly made! Although the pole extension sections are quite sturdy, the locking mechanisms for each section are JUNK -- flimsy plastic bits that fall out if you loosen the connection one micro turn too many. We actually had to reconstruct one locking mechanism the first time we used the extension pole. Once we repaired the locking mechanism we were able to successfully use the pole extended to about 22 feet.We will try using this one more time and if the locking mechanism(s) fall apart again we will be returning

Works great for cleaning the spider webs off the eaves on my house, which are VERY high (about 28' in places). It definitely IS very heavy. Luckily, I'm a big guy, cause it does get a little unwieldy at length on an angle, but if you want it sturdy at that length, you don't have much choice. A shorter person might have some trouble with it, which is why I knocked it to 4 stars, but it definitely works well.

Used the pole for the first time putting up xmas tree lights on a tall cypress tree. One of the poles slighting bent while putting up the lights. when the poles are fully extended, it is heavy and difficult to control (I am a 46yr old male, 5-10 and in good shape, and I was wore out using this). I bought the big reach gardening hook, but due to the length of the pole, the lights wouldn't stay on when I tried to lift it. Glad I only have to do that once a year....

I have been in contact with Unger for over one month trying to get a refund for the tele-pole plus which they have received back via UPS weeks ago and I have discussed the refund with them directly several times and they say they will refund my $110.55 - but they never do it. they constantly tell me that the warehouse, or accounting or sales or the man in the moon have to approve the refund and that i will hear from them within 48 hours, then NOTHING> Amazon A to Z is now working on the refund for me and I thank you for that. I also ordered items to fit this pole which I am not even going to begin to try and return. These items are about a $20.00 purchase, but i don't have the time to deal with them on that bit.,

I purchased this for my husband to hang Christmas lights in trees. The pole was very sturdy and did a wonderful job. I'm sure he will be able to use it for years to come. After using the pole for the lights, my husband is sure it will work great for other projects as well!
