As another reviewer mentioned, these rods are almost 0.5mm larger in diameter than stated in the listing. This might be within their manufacturing tolerances, but they did not state this anywhere on the product page. I purchased these to replace the 10mm metal rods in my Thrustmaster TFRP pedals, but the extra 0.5mm diameter of these PTFE rods does not allow them to fit. Returning them for a refund.

The Teflon rod is nicely made and consistent in diameter, but it is the WRONG diameter. It is nearly 10% bigger in diameter than the advertised 4mm. (See picture.) therefore I cannot use it for my project so I had to return it.

These rods are well within tolerance for my expectations at this price. Normally NOBODY would ever complain about receiving more than they were promised but I can understand why some people would complain cuz the rod won’t fit for their purpose. To me … this is MORE a problem with the user than it is with the product but you can’t please them all.I ordered 12mm , 13mm & 35mm and the results I got were 12.21mm, 13.26mm and 36.04mm.On the low end that makes them 1.75% , 2% and 2.97% out of spec … ANYWAY YOU SLICE IT a 2% margin of error for parts of this price is FANTASTIC and 3% for a part almost 1-1/2” diameter is equally FANTASTIC. If your purposes require tolerances of better than 2% accuracy I think you have unrealistic expectations so don’t bash the product because you’re to cheap to pay the premium.I did see the review showing 4mm rod being about 10% bigger which to me is excessive. That said I did order from 2 other suppliers just in case and that other supplier delivered 10% larger rods so I guess it can happen. Interestingly what I got from the third seller WAS PRECISE!An astounding 0.3% accuracy 😍 … specifically they were only a single thousandth of an inch (0.001”) greater than the listed 0.50”. I doubt it was a fluke as the rod is continuously drawn then cut as it’s extruded so yeah a RARE FIND that would normally command a far heartier price tag for 10x the tolerance BUT definitely NOT THE NORM.1-2% margin of error as the dimensions get smaller gets leaps and bounds harder to maintain and you better bet you have to pay for that level of Quality Control. If that’s what you need great I get it, but then you need to shut up and pay the premium and not be browsing Amazon.
