I do not have a hall way closet so the kids tend to throw stuff on the floor next to the door. It's gotten so messy so I decided to purchase this hall tree to leave it by our garage door.Installation took about an hour between two people. Instructions are fairly straight forward and slightly easier than ikea stuff. It was easier having two people to help hold the pieces together, but I think it's doable with one person. Once installed, it looks great in our garage. The bottom door is a soft opening one so that's great. But the magnet on the door is very strong, requiring my kids to really yank the door to open it. Because of that, we also used hooks to secure the top part against the wall to prevent it from falling over.This shelf fits 4-6 kids' jackets. It is on a smaller and shorter side. The hooks are at around 4 ft tall so it is easily reachable by the kids. A little too short for adults to hang anything but it works out since this is mainly for my elementary school children to use. They think it looks great and love having the jacket readily available by the garage entrance/exit.

This is a great addition to our home. It is exactly what we needed. It was easy to put together. Only issue is the hooks would not hold more than a pair of keys. Purchased strong hooks to hold backpacks.

It's the perfect choice for my entrance. It's very sturdy and looks great! I needed a bench, a storage drawer, and a coat hanger by the door, and this system had all of those things together perfectly, and it looked really nice and functional.

It took me a full day of putting this together. When it’s complete and I hang jackets on it, you can see that is too short for regular coats. It needs to be taller. Now.. if it was not together I would return it cuz it’s not good enough, but what am I to do with that now that it’s built!? Can’t send that back now can I!

It took me a while to get it assembled but it worth the time！It fits perfectly in my doorway，and it creats plenty of storage space for my backpacks and jackets！

The biggest shortcoming with this is the hooks are secured into particle board with small, shallow screws which is completely insufficient for coats and bags or purses. Nearly decorative as is. I saw this would be an issue right away and drilled the upper holes all the way through and screwed some longer wood screws through the hooks, through the backing and into a 1x2 on the backside of the unit. Additionally, the grooves in the sides of the center vertical board between the two backing panels were too shallow at one end preventing its assembly. I used a coping saw to rough them out deeper so I could continue putting it together. Also, it could stand to be a couple inches taller to give more clearance between the bench and adult sized jackets. -1 star for the hooks. -1 star for the mill work on the vertical board. A not-so-handy person would have had to send for a replacement and wouldn’t have been able to assemble it. If it weren’t for this, I might call it a good value. Your mileage may vary.

It is looking great at the entryway and the quality is fantastic.Instructions were very easy to understand. I needed a bench and storage drawers and coat rack next to the door and this system had all 3. Very sturdy. And perfect for storing dog leashes and shoes .I recommend this to anyone!

Pros: came well packaged, no damage, looks great, very sturdy and can fit 3 full sized backpacks + lunch bags in the compartment underneathCons: lots of pieces/parts = lots of patience needed! We also swapped out the hooks that it came with for something a bit sturdier

I have been wanting to buy this for so long and after reading reviews I finally purchased it. My husband works so hard to out this together and while he was, we noticed a lot of sides/corners that already had damage. We were too far into getting the pieces together so kept going. After we finished and attached the hooks, once we hung a coat on it, it fell off damaging the wood. Very disappointed in the quality of this item. I wish to return it, but it’s more time and effort to start a return than to fix it ourselves. We ended up buying wood pieces to secure the hooks from the back and different sized nails, along with repainting the damaged parts.

Decent quality entry shoe bench with cloth rack. It’s well made with no defects found.Laying all the pieces out on the floor according to the product structure makes it easier for installation. Not difficult to setup if follow the menu step by step, took us couple hours from start to finish.It’s sturdy, beautiful and multifunctional for organizing kids’ toys, hanging jackets and backpacks, and shoes, and can be used as a bench when putting shoes on. Nice addition near the entrance.
