I think the crystal is a bit too thick so it takes a bit for the sound to travel, works better with the rubber mallet vs the suede.

I really was hoping that I would love this small singing bowl, but it really wasn't well made, and when I took it out of the styrofoam it cracked. I would not recommend.

I really wanted a singing bowl and was very excited when I received my amazon delivery. But when I opened the box the product was covered in and smelled of mold. Ordered a replacement - same issue. What a shame!
