I recently ordered freshwater shrimp from Swimming Creatures, and I am absolutely blown away by the entire experience!Let's start with the shrimp themselves: absolutely stunning! Each shrimp arrived vibrant, healthy, and full of life. Their colors are even more beautiful in person than in the photos! It's clear that Swimming Creatures takes immense pride in the quality of their livestock. What greatly impressed me as well was the exceptional care taken in packaging and shipping. The shrimp were meticulously packaged in a way that ensured their safety and comfort during transit. The water was clean, and the bag was filled with plenty of oxygen. The box was clearly marked for its sensitive content and the insulation was top-notch, maintaining a stable temperature. The shipping was incredibly fast! I received tracking information promptly, and my shrimp arrived exactly when promised. The company clearly understands the importance of minimizing stress for these delicate creatures. It's rare to find a company that demonstrates such dedication and attention to detail. Swimming Creatures has exceeded all my expectations. They've not only provided me with beautiful, healthy shrimp, but they've also shown me what exceptional customer service looks like.If you're looking for freshwater shrimp, look no further! I wholeheartedly recommend them. They've earned a customer for life! Thank you for bringing such joy to my aquarium!Five stars, and then some!

These shrimp are nice sized and I had a good mix of colors. A little heavy on the yellows, but all shrimp were nicely colored, and were fairly mature sized, i.e. they definitely weren't small juveniles. I even had one berried female. I had 2 DOAs, but that's to be expected. I life in Florida, and they came from CA, so that was a long travel time. Note that the seller recommends NOT to drip acclimate, just float the bag to equalize the temperature, then transfer the shrimp with a little of the bag water. I believe this is because with shipped shrimp there's the possibility of high amounts of free ammonia being released when the aquarium water is introduced to the bag, causing toxicity. I typically drip acclimate when buying livestock from local suppliers, but this no-drip method for the shipped shrimp worked fine. Note that my water parameters are a little odd for neocaridinas, GH=6, KH=0, pH 5.5-6.0. My aquarium is set up for caridina shrimp, using an active substrate, but I mix neos with caridinas. I suspect that my water parameters are a little different from the supplier's especially in terms of pH and KH. Even so, the shrimp did fine. They all started grazing happily upon release. I'll definitely consider ordering from this supplier again.

Beautiful colors. Great sizes. Healthy. Two came DOA, however I was only sent 20 so the loss was mine to pay for. That sucks. They adjusted really well to the new tank they call home. No more have died.I’d order from them again. I just wish they sent one or two to cover the ones who don’t survive shipping.

When we opened the first bag, out of 2, there were 4 out of 10 DOAs. Three more died in the first 12-24 hours. However, the baker's dozen that was left are thriving and so pleasant to watch. I expected a couple of deaths, so I'm not too bothered by the loss. I'm still a decently satisfied customer.

I was a little hesitant to purchase live shrimp off Amazon ... but eventually, Reddit's shrimp forums pointed me to this specific Amazon seller, and I'm pleased to say it was well worth it!The shrimps arrived safely packed, their bags wrapped in insulated sleeves - no hot/cold packs, but given my locations current mild weather, that ended up being fine. I had 2 dead on arrival, BUT the seller included a couple extra just in case, so I got the full amount of shrimp I paid for. These shrimp are otherwise healthy and active, no visible signs of illness, and almost all the females were berried with eggs (So, assuming they don't drop their eggs any time soon, I actually got WAY more shrimp than I bargained for. Not that I'm complaining. My Shrimp Army grows...).They're really quite vibrant, and have *really* good color quality given the price. In the past, I've paid $50 plus shipping for TEN high quality red cherry shrimp, from a fancy specialized online aquatics seller. And while those shrimp were really nice ... almost all the shrimp I received from this seller are just as vibrant and colorful as the fancy expensive ones.Overall, I'd definitely consider buying from this seller again, and likely will in the future when I eventually rework my 10 gal tank.
