I have purchased these accompaniment books to have at home to practice with my daughter. We have fun playing together and I like to have the music in front of me so I don't have to use my brain to think of what to play -- instead I focus on her playing and can help her pay attention to things she needs to focus on. I also found the accompaniment books helpful for preparing for recitals and book graduations. The music is just as it is on the cd, and my daughter is usually distracted if I just improvise something with her -- she likes when I play from the book so I sounds just like what she's been listening to.
