Bought this pump three years ago, it could start every 15 mins in a rainy day during raining winter season . It still runs fine so far.

Works great removing ground water down about 8’ where the water main is located in a concrete well very easy to install and pipe the discharge with 1 1/2” pvc it is very quiet and I am happy with my purchase $70 cheaper than the same pump with less horsepower at Loews

Noise level is low, we have used it for pumping out the pool and our small fish pond.

This is a great little sump pump. I bought it to deal with our greenhouse that floods during our rainy season. It’s pumped it out at a higher rate, is fairly quiet, and the float switch works just fine. I bought this based on reviews, specs and price and would definitely recommend it to others.

Ok - bear with me bc this gets a little long. Short story is this pump is awesome. Buy it now.Long story is this - Being isolated during the early months of the Covid pandemic, we decided to get an above ground intex pool. The first year, we attached a hose and let the pool drain naturally. That took about 36 hours, and we were left with several inches of water in the bottom. I used a wet dry vac to empty the rest. I must have emptied that thing 40 times, trying to get the remaining water out. It actually made me consider tossing that pool out! So I started looking for options and saw this pump. Reviews seemed solid and I bought it early in anticipation of the next season. One thing to note - you’ll need to buy a connector if you want to attach a standard garden hose. It’s about $10.So - earlier this year I had to empty the pool for a couple of weeks, and I used this pump. It was impressive. After a couple hours, the pool was nearly empty. The pump seemed like it was running dry so i stopped it and pulled out that wet dry vac again. Even though there was still an inch of water in the pool it was a whole lot better than what I’d done the first year. We filled it back up and enjoyed it for the rest of the summer.Today, I emptied the pool for the season. I accidentally forgot about the pump. After about three hours, I went out and to my surprise, the pool was completely empty!!! It was bone dry! I didn’t even know it could do that! I’m so thrilled that I sat right down to write this review :)So like I said at the beginning, awesome pump AND it empties the pool 100%! As long as I have this pool, I’ll have this pump to go with it.

Hard to get creative about a sump pump review. So far it works great! Other reviewers indicated the float switch was not adjustable; I somewhat disagree. This style float switch does not normally have any real fancy adjustment ability, it works simply by being held down by it's own cord but with enough slack for the water to raise it to activation level. Well like other units, the switch cord is held down by a cord clamp affixed to the pump body and you can loosen/adjust that. It's more art than science ;) but you can loosen the cord hold-down to adjust how much slack you give the switch, and to slightly change the rotation/orientation of the switch. This can be important based on position of the pump in your sump pit, for example to make sure the switch ball has full range of motion. I was able to tweak mine to work reliably. The motor/pump itself seems to run quickly and fairly quietly. Very good especially for price, and saved the day when my 10y old one died.

I chose this one because it has a 1 1/4" female threaded coupling which matches my old pedestal sump pump, making replacement a snap, and it's also easy to find the 1 1/4" threaded male adapter you'd need to join to PVC pipe if you're going from scratch or you're if your old pump's connections don't match. If your old pump doesn't run through a check valve, you should get one for this pump to prevent back-flow through the pump, shortening its life (according to the instruction manual) or worse. It's quiet - I'm so used to hearing my old noisy pump running that I initially went into the basement several times to check this one out several times during a heavy rain to make sure it was working.I ordered this after my old pedestal pump died during the power outage/basement flooding from Hurricane Irene and it arrived in the middle of several days of heavy rain from the remnants of Hurricane/Tropical Storm Lee. I had been manually running the cheap pool pump, which I had bought to pump out the Irene basement flood, every couple of hours (all through 3 nights!) when it arrived, required less than 15 minutes of work to replace my old pump, and it easily handled the job and saved my sanity. The instruction manual is very poor, though. For example, it mentions cleaning out an "airlock hole" if the pump doesn't move water, but doesn't tell you where it is anywhere in the document or on the box. In planning how to position the pump in your sump well: note that the instructions say nothing about keeping the two power cables (one from the float switch, one from the motor) out of the way of the float, though it should be obvious they need to be fed away from the side of the sump well the float is on and need to be supported so they don't slide down into the well and tangle things. Only one outlet is needed because the pump motor plug piggybacks into the float switch plug.Despite the poor manual, I still rate it 5 stars because it's a quality pump (watch the video linked under the photo at top left of this item's webpage) and it's much less expensive than the pumps I can purchase locally.
